I have an Epson wide format printer. I have to tell you I am NOT happy with it. When it works, its nice, but you could easily go broke buying the ink cartridges. It costs $120 to replace all the cartridges, and they only work for a short while. I was able to print out about 50 4x6 photos before I had to replace the cartridges. That's about $2.50 per picture, when figuring in the cost of paper. If you don't use the printer, the cartridges dry up quickly, and have to be replaced anyway. In my opinion, unless you have an unlimited amount of money to spend on the ink cartridges, it isn't worth it. The pictures do print out beautifully, and you can print really large. I wanted to make 12x12 pages and print them for duplicate books for my children. BUT -- you really need to print on photo paper to get a decent print quality. The 12x12 photo paper is extremely expensive. If you have an unlimited amount of money to spend on paper and ink, then go ahead and buy it. If you don't, then save your money and take your work to Kinko's or someplace that will print your work for you. In the short run, it will be less expensive.
