Well, If Lynn can't get on by Tuesday, we will still wish her Happy Birthday. My gift is going to be late:( I still have not gotten to the post office:(
I have one for Lisa, Lynn and Diane..........Sorry guys, but...better late than never!!!
Thanks Susan, I can make a Bon Jour card then..........got to find out the correct spelling first tho. Don't want to look like a fool....LOLOLOLOLOLOL. Like I don't already:rolleyes:
But don't hold your breath, I am busy today. Notice I am on here tho. I have time for that:rolleyes:
If you can write in French, then YES it should count, I said so Bon Jour (sp) is that French???? Don't know what it mean tho. Maybe I could make a french card. LOLOLOL
Yes, Bonjour is French for Hello. You spelled it almost correctly - letters are in order, but it's one word, not 2 words like you wrote!
BTW - the word for Thank You is Merci!

Janet, in English "I" is J'espere in French??????
Us Americans must be lazy at spelling! LOLOL
In French, "I" is Je (Only capitalize the J if it is at the beginning of a sentence) , but if the next word (a verb) starts with a vowel, then you do the conjunction of j' - yes, you have to learn this in class as verbs have different endings to them depending on the word used (I, you, they, etc.); irregular verbs are ended differently. And I double checked with a tranlator on line to make sure I had written it correctly. I was also puzzled about using 2 "vous" (which are formal yous or can be plural) - can you guess I started learning French when I was young (4 yrs old) and keep learning / using it? I'm sure it's written that way due to an irregular verb used!

Hello ladies. Ok first....Janet, yes write something in french..I love it..the only thing I remember is (my spelling may be way off) La fille marche don la rue. Le garcon marche don la rue. And I know Hello Bonjour and thank you merci and little words like that. lol...Second: Susan girll you know I love ya, however, you have to list names inside your huggs. The reason for this is because I do not want to be held responsible for missing someone's name. Kwim? So ladies..names please. Third: Donna can you please tell me what the item was that you asked Lynn to use? Did she see the dare? Fourth: Kathy you are soooo right. I just want us all to have fun together. I have hopes more people will join in and our group will just grow into massive friends...It is supposed to be all about the fun and the friendships formed and the creativity that we share with one another so I am going to keep it as fun as I possibly can and if that hurts someone's internet feelings I'm sorry. And finally: ((((Kathy)))), ((((Marney)))), ((((Lynn)))), ((((Lauren)))), ((((Janet)))), ((((Susan)))), ((((Lisa)))), ((((Yvonne)))), ((((Donna)))), ((((Bev)))), ((((Chris)))), ((((Diane)))), ((((Jeanette)))), ((((Karen)))), ((((Montanta)))), ((((Rosiebudstamp)))), ((((Vickie))), ((((Joan)))) now hopefully I didn't forget anybody. If I did please tell me cuz I want to give huggs to EVERYONE that participates in the Alphabet Challenge cuz you are what makes it what it is....fun. Thank you ladies. Well ladies, I am going to go do some crafting. I will see y'all later. Huggs

I just googled and bonjour means good day. I know very little of any other language. Maybe a little spanish because of a missions trip to Puerto Rico, but very little. The first thing I learned was banyo.....bathroom!! LOL

OK - French 101 for you folks:
Bonjour DOES mean good day, BUT it is used as a greeting for hello until the evening. Then people say Bonsoir when they greet you (is their way of saying Hello. Is more formal than "Hi!")
To say where is the Bathroom:
Bathroom is a feminine word, and is called Salle de bain for singular (like the one at home). For one like that - "Ou est la Salle de bain?" For the ones you get at a rest stop, the mall - anyplace there are several stalls - "Ou sont les toilettes?"
CLASS IS FINISHED!! I'M GOING TO WORK ON MY CARD!!

Donna, WAIT! WAIT! Bon Jour means Hello or good day, Merci is thank-you. So much for my french. No wonder I failed it in school., Sorry, Donna!

Quite all right , we all make mistakes. I just get really really confused at times. Ask everyone......they will tell you
I never took a second language in school. Wish I would have now. I would like to learn sign language and Spanish.
I had a class in sign language. It was fun learning the signs, however, if you don't use it everyday, you lose it.....I can only remember a few signs anymore. I would also like to learn a little conversational spanish.
OMD OMD OMD je vous aime tous....the best this keyboard can do!

If you want them to be earrings, then they are earrings. It's YOUR birthday!! I sent it early so you could hang the banner and get ready for the big day. I was looking for those birthday horns, but all they had was a pack of a dozen, and I didn't need a dozen!! I should have bought a dozen and mailed one to each of your friends. Then we could have all sounded the horns at a certain time!! Also thought about a whoopie cushion, but already sent you one of those! LOL
