I am going to give it to a woman to help draw in business for her. It will be for a giveaway. She will draw names. Well, that is my idea anyway, she hasn't gotten back to me yet to say yay or nay.
Thanks, Marion but unless you lived here in clinton and were going to get your dog groomed or buy a Gift Card from her........don't think you can win. Sorry :(
Donna - that wreath is SO pretty!! Did you use the ribbon that is like a netting to make the wreath? I've never made a wreath like that - I've always made wreaths with the grapevine wreaths and artificial flowers but I would love to make one like you did!!
Hope everyone has a WONDERFUL day!!

Good morning, the temp has not changed since yesterday, yup, -20c or 14F, so I think I shall take Vickie's advice to stay in and play. Actually, I am slowly bringing out the decorations and I must admit it does help with the Christmas spirit.
Lauren left some love and thank you for completing my dare.
I dare everyone to bring out your favorite Christmas decoration, if you have not done it so far. Marion that means you too, it is just one, easy peasy to put away when you get home.

Hello ladies, I am here to count, count, count. I had the grandbabies here yesterday and today. However, they went home about an hour ago. And I have everything else done that needs to be done so for the rest of today I am doing nothing but counting up points. I plan to have them done by the end of the day. I will catch up on the chatter that I've missed and the new cards as soon as I am done with the points. So, if you have any questions please pm me. If I don't answer right away don't freak, it means I am taking a break. My eyeballs can handle only so much of the computer screen before the sentences look like they are running into each other. So, have a great day!!!! Huggs.

OK Lynn - what is the history if the Gibson House? I love to learn history of places. We have a lot of history where I live that many people have learned about - Yorktown, VA (signing ending the Revolutionary War); Williamsburg, VA (Colonial Capital); Hampton VA (Fort Monroe & battle of Monitor & Merrimac - the ironclads) - we have lots of Civil War battle spots here also. The ENTIRE state of VA has a lot of history in it!

It sounds like many of you are staying in today and playing with the paper and stamps.
I see that there are some more wonderful G cards in the gallery.
Dani and Kathy thank you for trying to help me with my problem of making a link yesterday. I see that Dani had no problem doing it. I don't know what it was with my computor, but for about the past week I couldn't do anything on the Advanced menu. I think it is back working today because it did let me put on a smiley face. I am going to trying doing a link to a card. Most of you have seen this card, so this is a test.
Very interesting historic places in both our countries.... thanks for sharing.
Now to go find a decoration I can get to easily...
Women can change their minds I did go to church as My DD said she was going and although a little slippery out there at intersections I made it home safe and sound but decided am not going out for dinner.. much safer at home, I figure...

My youngest DS is on a ghost hunting team. He loves that kind of stuff.
This ghost is a practical joker. When I was at Boxwood Inn during a Christmas Dinner, there was a tour conducted. We were eating on the porch area (is first picture on the site where you can see quite a few pictures), we noticed silverware was re-arranged on a table while we were in the room. We were then told the story of a ghost of someone who would play simple pranks. It was a cute story that I saw in a book about ghosts in this area.

Janet, you are so lucky to live in such a historic state. My oldest brother lives in Virginia and I LOVE visiting them. I love to go visit the old plantation homes and battle fields of the civil war. I am a civil war and Plantation freak.
Ok ladies....don't shoot me until you read this complete message. I had to log off of my computer shortly after I left my first message this morning. And I didn't get to work on points at all. My granddaughter has lice and they were here for the weekend sooo Meemaw ended up having to clean EVERYTHING in her house. On top of that, my oldest granddaughter is a beautician and she cut the kids hair and then mine. Altho she did sanatize her tools. And I do not have it, thank God!!! (but of course now my head itches like crazy) Ok now because I made the promise I made...I am staying on this computer until ALL points have been counted. So....I am here so if you need me....pm me. I am pretty sure there is nothing that will pull me away from this computer again tonight. Ok....off I go to count. Love yas and huggs
Oooh I lied....there may be one thing that pulls me away from this computer, however, it won't be for long. If this dang nab itching keeps up I am going to go take a quick shower. ugggg. But I will come right back on.

Yes - and it is a shame people who don't live near this area don't get to see the history. A lot is learned in school (Jamestown. Yorktown, Williamsburg, Hampton) but is not seen in real life. Where in VA doe your brother live?

The power of the mind is so strong. You will itch for a day or two just thinking about it, Dani! HUGS

That's right!! I don't know how many times I itched after caring for someone with lice or doing those lice checks! Just the thought of lice made me itch!!

Well why is it whenever I make plans something else steps in the way??? I was on the phone with dh...planning on taking a shower after I was done talking to him and who shows up??? The guy with a cord of wood. So now I have to wait until they get all that wood stacked, make hot chocolate for them so they don't freeze to death and make sure to pay the dude. Then once they leave I can get into the shower. Ask me what Dawn is doing? Go ahead ask...she's sleeping on the couch. Ugggg....So hang in there ladies...like I said I plan on keeping my promise if I have to stay up all night. (like that will be difficult for me. lol...)
Ok well I may as well continue on counting the points until they get done stacking the wood then I can go take my shower. Sooo if you need me just throw me a pm.
Ok ladies, time to get into the shower. Then I'm taking my laptop into the living room so I can sit in my recliner and count points. I shall return in a few. Huggs
Hey AlphaGirls, you will be happy to know that I finally finished going thru and making a tick mark for each person every time they posted something for the Chatter Box contest. I still have to count them up...this took a veryyyyy long time. uggg ...so...I am going to go make something to eat (I haven't eaten anything but yogurt in a few days) I know Lynn don't yell. Anyways...once I get done eating I will come back and count up all the ticks and see who won the Chatter Box contest. Since I do not see where anyone said how many points the winner will get...I am going to let it be a surprise. Ok? Sooo I shall return to finish up the counting of all the other points. I am dosin off here and there so I better go eat...I will be right back. Huggs
Just so you ladies know, I am back. I ate a samwhich, splashed some water on my face, put another log on the fire (I did not cook up some bacon and some beans) and now I shall count up the points for the Chatter Box Contest. So...I shall return with the winner of that and I will let the winner know how many points they won. oooh sorry I dosed off again.
Ok ladies....I decided the top 5 will receive points. Of course the first prize will be the highest points, second prize will be a little less and so on and so forth. If you guessed the winner please pm me so I can give you the 5 points I promised you. Also, if you'd like to know how many points you have just pm and ask. Ok...here is a list of the top 5 chatters.
#5 is: Lauren = 10pts
#4 is: Kathy = 10pts
#3 is: Susan = 20pts
#2 is: Donna = 50pts
And our ALPHABET CHALLENGE CHATTER BOX is: FMCRAFTER (LYNN) = 75pts
Congratulations Lynn!!!!!! Keep up the chatting!!!!
To our top 5 winners. Your points will be added to your regular points. Let me know if you think the points are fair or if they should be different. I am so tired I can barely see straight let alone think straight so I wouldn't be suprised if they aren't fair. Ok everyone...I am still here...now I will go back to I believe it was letter H where I stopped posting points and go thru and figure out who has what and get them posted and hopefully I will be able to get an hour's rest before I have to be up for my 6 o'clock gallery shift in the morning. Wish me luck. I can tell y'all this much I will NEVER EVER let the points go again. EVER!!!!!!!
