Default HELP!! What settings for cutting vinyl?

I need to cut out phrases on white vinyl with my Expression and the blade is making a mess!! I'm guessing I don't have the settings right. Can anyone help?? :(

I would try and do a kiss cut and I used a blade depth of "2", medium or "3" pressure and speed of "3". Make sure you are using a 45 degree blade and that the vinyl is adhered well to your mat and that the mat isn't warped. If it is warped, it will cause uneven cutting.

If that doesn't quite do it, then change the blade depth to "3".

I hope this helps you!

Also... if the blade is in any way chipped or marked (it is often not visible), it will tear your vinyl. Best to use a new blade and keep it separate just for vinyl cutting.

Different machine here, so not sure if it is relevant, but check there are no little pieces of vinyl stuck to the blade. Once one gets on there, it shreds everything.
