Lynn, you bring that candy back! That wasn't mine! It was for the GD's. Well, maybe it's best you take it. It's a little early and I'd probably only get into it before Halloween. I really need to learn to wait until last minute if I am buying candy for others.
So this trick or tip, does it have to do with the simple card we make or you just want a tip??
It is WAY too EARLY!!!
running away spreading the chocolate around!
Did you know you can use double sided adhesive tape for embossing, yes it is heat resistent and you can just lay a strip down, sprinkle embossing powder on and heat set!!! nice nice border, nice nice
Okay Miss Lynn.....so you say no rules...I can do no rules...and I have a hard time doing simple, so I just didn't even try.....I forgot half my crafting supplies at home so this is what I came up with. I was going to use this as my faux silk card as I forgot my tissue paper at home. I tried using a piece of a paper towel, but it didn't look too faux silk to me, so, I decided to use it here instead!! Check this out ladies!! I used a piece of paper towel......yup.....I spritzed it with my Lindy's Stamp Gang mists to add some color....stamped it with my Staz On as I didn't want the ink to run.....added a half a doily that I'd also spritzed with some of my Lindy's mists.....added some texture paste to make it look all grungy.....and here you have it! How's this for not following the rules Lynn.....LOL
BLENDER PEN - REFILL RECIPE
In a 1oz/30ml dropper bottle add: 1/3 part Glycerin, 2/3-part Distilled Water, -tsp. Alcohol (no not the Brandy!!). Carefully remove either end of your marker with pliers and a light twisting motion. Add a few drops of the liquid to the marker. (More is not better here. Too much liquid will result in a runny mess). Replace the tip. Lay marker on its side overnight. Some blender pens can not be refilled, however you can try this with Tombow and SU to see how you go. I use this for Dove Blender pens, but I have refilled my Tombow Blender pens, but find the tips wear out on mine, obviously too heavy a hand.
Hi Donna and Lynn, did you see all my tips??? Did you do anything with them?? Did you see my butterfly card got to be a CAS of the week.... my goodness maybe there is something to this CAS simple stuff after all!!
Miss Lauren we are always looking to steal your cards!!! Now your tips I will put in a notebook!
Right now it is 9 degrees outside..the back door is open and kerra is warming my toes while I watch
Ok, so, I took my meds and drank 8 oz. of water and now am going to make some toast. Is that healthy???? How many 8 oz of water a day????? And what should I have for lunch? Any suggestions? Maybe some soup
I want to move to Australia, they are starting spring. We are into fall. I hate cold weather. Thinking about going to Florida in November. My sister said she is going to come get me and take me home with her for a week. ANd then maybe drive to Georgia and see one of my other sisters. I can't wait. But it is a long drive for my sister to come from Florida just to pick me up. What should I take with me to work on????????? Should start thinking now and making a list.
Good morning ladies! Congrats Lauren on being one of the CAS favorites for the week.....both of your cards are very cute! And I'm with Donna.....I want to move to Australia too.....lol
The butterfly card is a stamp, it is a Penny Black brushstroke type one, I love it. Sometimes forget to use my stamps lately, tend to just use sentiments.... will have to revisit stamping some more!!
Lauren on gathered ribbon for a card:
you do not sew the ribbon on the card, you sew a row of stitching along the middle of the ribbon, then tie the threads together at one end.... then at the other end, take the bobbin thread and draw it in to 'gather the ribbon.....when it is the right length, tie the two threads together to stop it expanding....
Now turn it over to the wrong side..... even out the gathers and put a length of redline tape (the strong sticky stuff) along the stitching.... press down..... peel off the backing and place it on your card, press down...

Here is my tip...........Don't eat yellow snow

Yvonne:
Tip: if you want a spritz spray to match any of your inks and you have a bottle of the re-inker, take a small spray bottle, add a few drops of the re-inker (the number of drops will depend on how deep or vibrant a color you wish to end up with), add water and you're good to go! Now you can spritz flowers, ribbon, card stock, chipboard to match your card, layout or project.......whatever you want! If you want the spritz to have a glimmer to it then add a bit of perfect pearls powder to the spray bottle as well!

Yup..that's why I am collecting them in one place..easier to put them in a document for you. what size is the paper in your notebook? I can make it that size so you can print it and glue it to your notebook
OK, I need to walk to the store to get more bread. I had 2 little girls over today playing with my glitter glue and glitter and they ate all my bread for peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. :( Hope they had glitter on the bread when they ate it all
Not really, one of them was my GD and I love her sooooo much especially when she calls me and asks if she can come over. Awwwwwwww, how do you say no to that? Even with a headache? They had fun, that's all that counts Now I want stew!!!!!!!

Lynn, any size will do as long as I don't have to put it under a magnifying glass to read it. LOL
