Donna I do not believe it is a knot with a name, it is the reverse of a knot that tightens, so it just stays where it is and does not loosen off or tighten off.... it would be a good for fisherman, but I cannot find it in any of my fishing books or online on the knot pages I have found...
If you want me to I can draw the tying process for you if you want it. But I really think that miss Lynn made it up... Looks good but seems to serve no purpose.
Thanks Lauren, really I only wanted to know the left side of the knot, it looks like it resembles a hangmans noose. LOL But I don't want it to tighten up on itself.
Lauren, it is the one on Lynn's card I just don't know the name of it so I can't look it up to see how you make it.
My niece is coming home from college this week...maybe she's even home now. But anyhow, she's an expert in knots (scouting and an outdoor major in college.) I can ask her and let you know if you don't find out by then...

Had card class today. Maybe these pics will help with your mojo! A lot of ours are CASE'd from SCS, so they may look familiar. Just not sure who the others CASE'd.

Yvonne, I don't know how you do it. Taking all your crafting stuff with you back and forth. I would not know what to take. I am going for a week in November to Georgia and I have no idea what to take. My sister is coming up from Florida to get me and my mom and she said I can take whatever I want to work on. But I feel I would have to take my whole craft room. LOL Give me hints, what do you take. Have fun, you lucky girl you to be able to get away to your own cabin in the woods when you want. I soooooo wish

Marion, I really like the first one too. I like tone on tone cards. But they are all so pretty. I love them. Wish I could go to class with you. My SU demo charges $25 for 4 cards.?!?!?!?!?!?! I think that is outrageous!

Donna, you should ask my hubby what I all bring up!!! He thinks I bring my whole room....lol. I usually grab an assortment of designer papers, some plain cardstock, all my Tim Holtz distress inks (cause I just love them!!!), a box with some lace and a few ribbons in it, I have a plastic container I keep some of my favorite punches in and I bring that along, sometimes some silk flowers but not always. and my three binders of stamps. Of course my tools I need. There's usually a few other little odds and ends I bring too.....I've really started to pare down what I bring.....sort of......lol!!
Donna, my SU rep has a group of us and we have to place an order each month for a minimum of $25 and whose ever house we're having that months demo at is the hostess and she gets the credits for that months sales. We usually make 5 cards. We have so much fun!! And our SU demo also keeps track of our orders we make outside of the demo nights, and once we reach $200 in orders she gives us a $50 gift certificate to the SU catalogue......she's awesome!!!!
Today is challenge day for Mix It Up, and I think it would be pretty cool if you all did a Faux Technique for the Challenge this week, there are loads to choose from in the Resourses section of the site, so go see what you would like to do!!!

I actually have nine more. I didn't post all the pictures. My demo is wonderful and also a great friend. We are doing 10 Christmas cards on the 27th and she only charges $10. Yesterday we each designed three Christmas cards and brought the stuff to make them. So all three of us got to make cards, including the demo and no charge. I also loved the first one the most. You should see it in real life! Gorgeous. She said she CASE'd from SCS but made a change or two. I never saw the original, so I am not sure who she CASE'd. Maybe I can find the original with a search.
Wow, she is great then, I don't go to classes that my demo has because she charges you way too much and charges you for every tiny piece of anything you may need to make the cards if you forgot something or want to add something else to it. Like a brad!!!! She will charge you for 1 brad even tho she owns every brad ever made an could never use them in her life time or mine!!!!!!

Two packages of ribbon (10 yards each!) and I had a present for them (a 6x6 Christmas pack of paper). When we get tired of some stuff, we always bring it so we can go through and take what we want before before it is sent off to thrift store or yard sale!

NOOO...they said they tried to deliver it on Friday...but I was here. They should leave a card...so grumpy bundled me up and took me to the outlet operating in a drug store near me...no mail tomorrow. just mon-fri and no holidays..but the ones that have been outsourced have different hours
