I'm back from Leadership, but my bag isn't here. :( It has all my make & take stuff, my leadership bag and little folio thingy, my business clothes, my swaps. I wanted to stamp today. Waaaahhhh!

Hope your bag arrives soon, Heidi. We were delayed a bit returning but our bags came with us. Sadly, I'm still sick and just not feeling the stamping urge.

Not sure if I can do this but the first question I have is there anyone else from CT going???? I live near Middletown CT and would not want to venture alone. Also trying to transition goods into new barn and it is all over the place....So I would have to see what I need to do, never been to one of these......Just asking questions for now....Thank you so much... Melissa

See post #1 for what you need to do. The shoebox project is the only thing you HAVE to do which means prepare enough "kits" for everyone to make your project ( a card or a gift card holder or a 3D, etc.). You have the option of participating in one, two or all of the swaps and you complete those ahead of time to swap at the event.
Hi Wendykins.....Nice to meet a fellow neighbor.... Yes that would be great to car pool. The barn is awesome, will be even better when it is done......I can not wait for that either..... So far as the swap. It is just preparring enough goodies for the number of attendees like a stamp camp type of thing???? I am done with SU at the end of the month as a demo, does it have to be SU??? I hope not. For the other swaps I am making the same amount (number) but they are all be completed and swapped like a card swap?? Is that right??? I think I saw like 3 different groups to swap in???

Hi and welcome! I plan to be at this fun event (just waiting for the official granting of my request for days off from work).
You have it right about the main (shoebox) project ... just remember "plus two finished projects for your shoebox sample and hostess thank you" and maybe some "extras" for any oopsies.

She was going to start drilling into another old filling, which I didn't know they had scheduled. I put the timeout on that one right away. If it ain't broken...
I was having terrible tooth pain the night before leaving San Antonio and all day while traveling. She thought it was sinus issues. So painful! Seems to have gone away on its own.

I'm with you on that one Heidi!! Sometimes I think my dentist suggests replacing old fillings when he needs cash flow. But, then I cave and have it done for fear of what "might" happen. I trust him, but I also feel that if he needs the money ... I'm always good for an insurance payment. KWIM?

Time to make room for all the new swaps and cards that you will be getting at this gathering by cleaning out, bringing, and donating your extra cardfronts, cards, and ATCs (NO glitter, NO feathers, NO bulky embellishments, please!) to From Our Hearts!! I will be collecting them at this gathering. They will be used to make cards for our troops in Afganistan to send home to their families.
Thanks to your contibutions of cardfronts, cards, and ATCs last year, on Dec. 10 (plus many hours more hours put in by Cindy C, Bonnie, and Linda B) at the Upton VFW in Stittvile, NY we finished over 1,900 cards from last year's donations that I collected from various gatherings!

I've been a little absent as we are in FL right now. Magic Kingdom yesterday, and I'm worn out. I honestly don't know how ppl do Disney parks multiple days in a row. I'm beat!
Mom went to watch the midday parade, and Eli Manning was there. He really did go to Disney World - haha!

Hi all! Happy belated Valentine's! I am almost 2 weeks post surgery. Things went very well -- had the best news today with the report that all of the cancer is gone. I'm still quite sore from surgery and will require some physical therapy to get back to "normal". But I just want to get back to moving easily, reaching things and hugging my kids normally, so I'll do it.
Please sign me up!
