GOOD MORNING, Faith-filled sisters! Another busy day ahead - still have some trimmins and fixins to start for T-giving Day and our list of attendees is getting bigger and bigger - eeek! Having Starbucks with friends this morning though I won't be able to stay long. We had an AWESOME bible study yesterday that I do hope to share parts of it with you soon - you know, for the notebook that now has dust on it! Thanks for bearing with me during this 'busy season!"
Kelly, since your list of attendees is growing anyway........ how about if I bring my family and come to your house for Thanksgiving.... that way I wouldn't have to get anything together here (yep, haven't even started planning yet. EEK!!!)
Ordered my Thanksgiving dinner from Kroger grocery store. Hope it's a good one! I've never ordered a meal to go, but it seemed the best solution this year.
Felt so good last weekend that I think I over-extended myself. I've been spending the last day or two resting with my feet up, and I think it's helping.
The last of my college sons comes home tonight. Yea! Everyone under one roof again!
Mary Rose, I'm sorry you over-did last week and are suffering for it now. Try to rest... and just enjoy having the family under one roof. I'm sure the Kroger Thanksgiving Dinner will be perfect for this year! Your family is just thankful that you are okay!!! HUGS!!!
Hi Kelly! Have fun with your friends Hun & have a lil' whip cream for me :-)
Hi Kadie! Nice to see you Hun!
Hello Ms. Blue! I like that name even though it's not your real one.....Ms. Blue just makes you even more special! I did have a wonderful & happy weekend which I'm grateful for. Keeping positive thoughts & plenty of baby steps!!!
Hi Mary Rose! Take it easy Hun! I'm sure your family is going to love Thanksgiving dinner & will just enjoy the fact that you're there to celebrate with them! Have a great time!
Hi Jeanette....my *bad* friend LOL! How's your day going so far? Are you staying out of trouble or are you recruiting more *bad* girls? Where's Barb? Are you guys together plotting things ROFLOL!!!!!
Hi Barb!!!!!
Well, I needed to check in before my day gets ahead of me. Keeping you all in my thoughts & prayers....I'll check in a bit later :-D

Yikes! I think you may end up at one of the parishners families for dinner if you don't get to the store soon, LOL!! But yes! You are always welcome here! It's COLD! (the weather, NOT dinner!) YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES!!!!!!!!
I miss the winter, so the weather dipping into the 60's for us is BLISS
Joking aside, I actually braved the store today. I was THE ONLY PERSON THERE. I looked around like I was in the twilight zone thinking ... am I really here, is the time correct, is it like 5 am and I don't know it .... what is this? LOL! THe clerk said "give it an hour."

That's awesome MaryRose!! I know you'll be so thrilled to have the family all together We don't have Kroger, but we have Publix (same thing!) and my SIL used to order the dinners and they were always, always wonderful! You'll be pleased, I'm sure! ENJOY!!
Jackie, I think it's quite cute that when you asked if I was being good, you immediately thought of Barb. Yep, that woman is ALWAYS into mischief!!! ;)
Kelly, of course I should go to the store... but FIRST I have to decide what we're going to EAT for Thanksgiving. LOL! Have I ever mentioned that my family doesn't care for Turkey??? Crazy, I know. On the other hand, they really LOVE homemade noodles... so that's the only thing I'm sure we're having - mashed potatoes and noodles. (I do have the stuff to make both - those are staples in our kitchen). Now what to have with it. UGH!!! Brock suggested ham - no, he emphatically said, "HAM!" but I think we're going to save that idea for our Christmas dinner when all 5 of us will be here. This time it's just 4 of us, since DS can't be home for Thanksgiving. :( I'm considering chicken of some sort - but decisions! DECISIONS! We'll have a veggie, probably a salad, and some kind of dessert. No biggie.
Hi Barb... did you see Jackie has you figured out? You trouble-maker, you!
My DD is coming home - today - for the Thanksgiving weekend, so I won't be online much at all until Monday. Therefore I want to take this opportunity to wish each of you a
Hi all! Rushing through after being at ds's school all morning for chapel and breakfast - now it's mad dash through my house to finish up here and get ready for tomorrow!
*Just a reminder!! Tomorrow's the Riley and Company Blog Hop! After your turkey and before your shopping, come hop with us - you could win a free stamp set! *
Jackie and Jeanette, thanks for the sweet words of encouragement! Doing much better today. I have to keep reminding myself to slow down.
Jeanette, we had a church potluck last Sunday (or "pitch in", as they call them here in Indiana). Our pastor's wife made homemade noodles w/ chicken, and I swear, I thought I'd died and gone to Heaven. I think that could be an entire meal right there, and I'd be more thankful than the big turkey spread!
Mary Rose, I agree about Chicken and Noodles being enough of a meal........... well, 'cept we'd want mashed potatoes with it. I know... way too much starch, but that's the way we eat them. Unfortunately my DH will NOT eat noodles (what's wrong with that man!?!?!?) so we never have them as the meal... only with a meal.
Good afternoon sisters!!!. MIA for a couple of days!!!. Still have to visit blogs... soon I promise but this days have been really busy and I have been going to bed early. I hope you are having a fantastic day... and to my american friends...

Chicken and noodles served on top of mashed potatoes? NOW you're talkin'! Actually, that's how they often serve them in Amish country (at least in Northern Indiana Amish country, like Shipshewana!).
Good Morning!! I hope you are all STUFFED and happy!
I braved some stores last night and had a blast - I took two of my girls with me that wanted to go and they had fun, too and I was able to get the items I circled in the flyers! Great response from Kmart and Target, I have to say - they were ready and prepared! I'm about 80% done with holiday shopping - YAY!
Hello lovely sisters!!!. Did someone see my Christmas spirit???. I'm looking for it!!!. As I said in my blog I'll start decorating the house to see if it arrives soon. I missed black friday... again... and I need to buy so much stuff for the holidays. I'm having two teenagers this year to buy to... all they want is money to spend with friends and go out... and I want to give them something special... Tough years I think ;). My husband is so difficult as well but at least this year he gave some tips and my little one is the easiest one!!!
I visited everyone last night!!!. Great projects ladies!!!
I went to a LLS yesterday in Wis. Rapids---and spent more than an hour there. This is one of the top 2 stamp stores I have ever been in and love coming to it. They have so MUCH stuff, it is almost overwhelming. I think they have every embossing folder ever made--by Cuttlebug, Sizzix, Darcy, etc. plus so many of the newer die/stamp combos--think 4 or 5 display areas!
I also did a bit of Black Friday shopping online---I got a good deal of a 5 qt Dutch oven from Kohl's. After discounts and a rebate only good for 3 days, it went from $99 regular price to $18. I even asked the lady I talked to if she would give me the BF price last night and she said yes--that was a $20 savings alone! I thought I did good!
Today we are stopping at a cheese factory and a farm to get fresh cranberries. We will be heading home tomorrow morning.
A belated "Happy Thanksgiving" everyone! What a crazy, wonderful week this has been - I hope everyone had a fabulous day. The best part of the day is being with family. I plan to visit blogs soon and leave everyone some love.
Blessings, everyone! Are we ready for MONDAY?! Eeek, not me! I just put the finishing touches on my challenge card for Tuesday as tomorrow will be 'one of those days - Mondays are always our most hectic and busiest! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I don't know about you, but I'm exhausted!! I think this sleepies really hit me full force this weekend but we didn't run around as much as usual - hmmm, not as young as I once was, LOL!
I did get a lot of holiday shopping done - YAY! And we squeezed in a movie (Breaking Dawn) so it felt mostly productive somehow Now to wrap it all, especially since I'll be out of town on a 4 day trip - just in case someone needs anything out of my closet! I'm chaperoning my two oldest daughter's chorus trip to Orlando mid-December which puts a damper on my already crazy December! :-P
Hugs to all! Bible study was cancelled for tomorrow so I'll see you bright and early - in about 5 hours!
Good Morning--I am off to Coffee, Cards and Biscotti this morning at my demos house--I saw the 5 cards and they sure are cute! Then, home to swap out the Santa cards and maybe take them to the post office to mail if there is time. Tomorrow--the house transformation to Christmas begins....................... YAY! We already did the outside lights last week--still need to do the roping and trim on the deck railing.
Mary Rose, we just do noodles, not chicken and noodles... and yes, they are served ON the mashed potatoes. That is the way the Amish do it and it is yummy, if you like that sort of thing.
Hello everyone!!!. I FOUND MY CHRISTMAS SPIRIT!!!. I went with my DS to buy some decorations while my husband put all the lights outside... we drunk some hot chocolate, listened to some Christmas music... YAHHHH is official the season is here... although I didn't start with the Christmas presents shopping :(. I finished our challenge card and is already schedule... I'm on fire!!!.

YAY for CHristmas spirit! And BOO on the ironing, lol! :?
We don't leave for another 2 weeks so you'll see me a lot before then!

Oh my....on the potatoes. The noodles. I bet they are good. We are so CRVS on the West Coast. That would be Chicken, Rice, Vegetable and a Salad LOL!
Good Morning! Poppin' in to say HI after a wonderful Thanksgiving & weekend! We celebrated our 20th anniversary yesterday & I'm looking forward to another 20 with my *man*
Sounds like you all had an awesome time as well & I'll be getting around to see what you've been up to lately. Give me a minute since I'm still kinda giddy LOL! Have a nice day all & I'll check in a bit later :-)
Yes, Tami... I know! It sounds gross and oh so heavy, doesn't it? I do like the west coast foods... I prefer my veggies cooked what we call California style (with a bit of bite/crunch)... but on Thanksgiving, noodles and mashed potatoes are a hit! ;)
Happy Celebrating, Jackie!! (and btw, you inspired one of my cards coming up on my blog! Thank you!)
I'm with Tami - bring on the salad and veggies!!! YUM! It's a staple in my house! In fact, I wish I had Jeanette's dh's green thumb and could grow my own! Nothing like fresh waldorf from your own land
