You are so right, Ina. I'm happy to say that a lot of the family stress has disappeared. My son is talking to us again and it looks like my daughter is cancer-free. Life is good right now. Today would be a great day to hole up in my craft room. It's raining and has cooled down a bit. The rain is a welcome sight.
It is hot and windy (80s) here and I had to be out doing errands. Just got home-3:30 pm. Going to look at the VSN Mini challenge for tonight. Any of you doing the Mini? I like how they do one on each Friday and you have the whole week to think what to do. But the main event will be like normal: all of the challenges over two days. I have always enjoyed VSN. that is how I got started doing challenges on SCS, was the VSN.
Thanks Debbie for the idea. I actually have that notebook by my laptop, but it gets carried arround, and then I write the challenges on little stickys, and then two months later I find the sticky note in a obcure place and see the challenge! LOL
see you later

Hey girls
I've checked in on the May thread. You guys are just AWESOME!
I do have a couple of cards to upload. Just not sure if it will get done today. I'm off to scoop ice cream and watch Sponge Bob with the granddaughter... not MY choice LOL
But I needed to come in and post a reminder...

Just a reminder. Now is the time to look at your JUNE calendar. Do you need any cards for the first week? That will fall in the next 7 days! Yikes! Where is the month going?
Just a little something for you to think about ;-)

6 cards for me in the month of June. 5 (maybe 6, if I can find our where she is right now) birthday cards and one anniversary! A classmate of mine from elementary school reconnected with me on facebook a few years ago. At that time she was working as a nurse in an outpost nursing station on the north shore of Baffin Island, and we spent a couple of days together being tourists in our nation's capital, Ottawa. But I think she has retired, and I don't know where she has moved to.

June starts easy, but then gets busy. Nothing from 6/1-6/6. Then two male birthdays, 5 female birthdays, and 8 encouragement cards for my S.S. ladies. Plus cards for those unexpected things (get well, sympathy, etc.) I'll use my stash for some of the birthday cards. Oh, and I'll need to make 8 cards for June for the CCC12 (Christmas) challenge.
ETA - Not a card, but I also need to make an altered clipboard by June 22nd. I haven't done one before, so I'm a little intimidated. I do have ideas though, so just need to get to work on it.
Thanks so much, Jane, for letting all the other AOCC members know about this. I'm flattered beyond belief about being named a Featured Stamper - and really shocked too as I feel I still have so much to learn from all the great stampers on SCS.

Hi ladies, sorry that I am so MIA. I've been really busy making cards and keeping up with my DT teams. Had the opportunity 2 weeks ago to go to Dallas and take the Copic Intermediate class with Colleen Schaan. She is so terrific.
Anyway, Kelly reminded me that I'm supposed to be posting the challenge for June 1. One of my big passions besides obsessing over having all the ribbon in the world and follow up with dp, I love, love, love flowers! I really, really want to learn how to make my own though so I won't always have to be looking for the perfect flower for one of my cards. So the challenge this time is to use handmade flowers on your cards. Hopefully, I'll be learning something with this also, and I promise that I'll post it here.
LI have a ton of cards I've made that are on my blog, but never seem to make it to the gallery.

Congratulations Sharon! You'll love your prize package!
Maggie, that's a great challenge. I will get busy this afternoon and evening to make some cards with flowers. I don't like sending dimensional cards in the mail, as it takes so much postage, but there are several ladies in my church who have birthdays coming up and I can hand deliver those.

Thank you Ina!
Maggie, what a fun challenge. I am working on SCBN challenges and my Inspiration challenge for Monday, but after that I will work on this as I need several cards for June. Okay, now I am writing this down as a OCC challenge and will keep my eyes out for the ones in the other threads. I get soooo confused! LOL
Hi . Ive been posting to challenges and that seems to help to have cards for my stash. Most dont have a specific sentiment, atleast some do that have been hanging out in my stash for some time. I created 4 on thursday. I think i'll go back and see if I cant improve them so they can be used. I think the reason their still there is I just wasnt satisfied with the results. plus my skill level has changed,so maybe i can save them or atleast use them as elements of a new card.
I'll look and see if I still have time for some June cards or if I'll just jump into July .
Welcome Brandy! This is a great group. The encouragement and the challenges really help us in our goal to treat our friends and family to hand crafted cards. this is the first year I have actually sent out cards for each and every birthday on my list, as we plan ahead and hold ourselves accountable.
I'm sure you can use some of your old cards as bases or inspiration for current cards.

Today's mail brought me an envelope of happiness! Little butterfly stamps, ribbon, CS,flowers, what fun!
Thank you Kelly! All I had to do was make cards, which I love to do! Now I have to get on the ball for June!
Glad you are joining us Brandy.
Maggie, thanks for great challenge. I just took up crocheting again as it's something I can drop at a moment's notice when I have to take care of something...like, every 2 minutes. I was thinking I might crochet a flower for mine... Now to just find time to make a card, lol!

Hey Brandy! Welcome.
Do what works best for you. There is no Goal set here like over at CCC12. This is strictly a motivator group to have you looking ahead. I do have participants opting to offer up a challenge. Challenges are posted around the 1st and 15th of each month.

I'm posting this challenge a couple days early in case I don't get a chance to tomorrow or early Friday. June 15 is my son's birthday and, of course, Sunday is Father's Day. A reminder to all of us in the USA, tomorrow (6/14) is flag day. This challenge is to make a masculine card. It can be birthday, Father's Day, thank you, etc. Try to incorporate something that depicts your male's occupation, hobbies or other interests, or you can use your country's flag and/or it's colors. I hope that made sense. I'll post my card as soon as I finish it. Can't wait to see your cards.
Thanks, I'll sign up for three a month, shame I forgot to take a photo of the card I made for my grandson to give to his dad, I could have crossed one off the list.
Heres my card for the Masculine card challenge, Ive made it for my Brother in law who is a golfer, the topper came from some old cards a friend gave me about three years ago and having a tidy round my craft room came across them.
Thanks for posting the challenge, Debbie. I'll get it added to the list, hopefully tomorrow.
Yep, never too late. challenges are there for you to use any time you need a little nudge.
I am still here and will try to get caught up tomorrow. Peaches and blackberries both came in this weekend so I've been canning and trying to spend time with the granddaughter. She's only here for another 2 weeks.

Just a reminder, we are over half way through the month of June. Do you have all of your cards ready to go? July is going to be here before you know it. Now is the time to look ahead to any that might need to be mailed before the first week.
Remember, even if you're not getting every card made and out, at least you are AWARE. You can move forward from there. :-)
