Okay - I'm new to this; how long do we get? I like the sketch, I love the samples made so far and I have decided how I could meet the challenge... but I have work to do :( so won't be able to tackle it at least until Saturday. What's the deadline please?
I wanted to make this card doing something else but ended up using the SC for the week. Hope you enjoy. It was just posted so may take a while to be approved.
heymenell - the sketch challenges get posted each wednesday, so most people try to do them within the week... but i have yet to post one, and in august when i am done working my outside the home job, i plan to start back with #1 and catch up!
post whenver you can... i love watching all the different variations get posted.

My advice to you is not to inquire why or whither, but just enjoy your ice cream while it's on your plate. Thornton Wilder
Hooray! I got it done -- although, I gotta tell you, everytime I see some of you use the new colors, I get more and more JEALOUS! Poor Mellow Moss needs a break! Where are you Certainly Celery?
I like this layout, too! This is my first card challenge and I really enjoyed it - it saves so much time when you know your layout before you start stamping. This is my first effort: Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
I've started another but it's gone a bit wrong, so I need to work out how to cover the mistake. I'll get back to you if I ever finish it!
Here's mine (it isn't approved quite yet, but it should be). We have LOTS of graduation invitations, so I need several ideas. Thanks for the challenge!
Using up one of the backgrounds I made last week with 'clouds' tissue paper for TLC12 )'hot card'). It is hidden under vellum. This card is a loose interpretation of SC22:

This is my second one: Gallery at Splitcoaststampers The stapling went horribly wrong, but I prised them all out and started again. I think I got away with it
I really struggled with this sketch for a while but I thInk I figured it out and now I really like it! Here is another one I did for this sketch: Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
I couldn't help it, I did another one lol! I drew a spiderweb design on my canvas stamp and used that, it turned out pretty cool! Here is my card: Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
Seems like forever since I last played, I've been so busy with swaps, and other things, so it was quite fun to sit down (well actually stand) and make a welcome baby card for a friend who just had a big, beautiful, bouncing baby girl. It's the first time I've used Pixie Pink, boy, is it very close to Pink Passion! The top 2/3 of the card is Pixie Pink, the bottom 1/3 is Pink Passion. Tone on tone stamping on both.
My first time doing a challenge - better late than never! I centered my main image instead of putting it off to the side - so it's close but not quite the same.
I actually made this card last week during the sketch challenge, but I am just now uploading it cause I don't have a scanner. I had to go to my grandma's house and use hers.
Whew, I'm finally beginning to see the end of my catch-up sketches, YAY!! I had fun with this particular challenge and the card I created...I just love the BBQ set!!
I am only a few weeks late, but finally had a day off (first one in 3 weeks) and time to play. I will probably mount this on a bordering blue card, but don't have that color yet, so in the mean time this is it.
