I just took a quick peek and it appears that you need to start a new thread. At the bottom of that original post, you'll see a box you need to check that says something like: include a poll with this post.

Do we have all the suggested names? So far, I see:

Hand-Me-Down Handiwork
HandMeDown Treasures
PIF Treasures
Your Leftovers Become My Treasures

Did I miss any? Should we wait for more?

How about:
Cast-offs to Creations
Adopted Art
Pay it Forward Projects

(can you tell that I'm hooked on alliterations? LOL)

We're getting quite the list here. When do we stop? How about taking suggestions until MIDNIGHT Eastern Time today? That will give those that aren't able to get on during the weekend a time to participate. We may have to list them all and then vote for the top THREE. What do you say?

Had the flu for the last week (yuk) - then we had a freak noreaster snow storm that brought trees down all around us... along with about 19 inches of snow. Anything that I need to mail out will not go out until next weekend. Sorry ladies. Stay well. Flu is the pits.

Louise, I read about the storm in our local paper. Never thought about the fact that because the leaves were still on the trees it turned them into "snow catchers!" Paper said it brought down not only branches but ENTIRE TREES. Amazing. And, isn't it amazing how God planned out the seasons...first the leaves typically fall then the snow comes. Hope you have the snow cleaned up soon. And, hope they get electric to those doing without!

We got our power back but there were nearly a million people without power in the NY/NJ/CN area. Some in my town still don't have it. Yes you are SO right about how great God put this world together. Take one small thing out of the mix (like fallen leaves) and things literally begin to fall apart. ;) I'm actually working from home today, taking a quick break for a cup of tea to ease a coughing fit (sigh). Praying all of you are safe and snug. LOVE this thread ... and sorry about this slightly "off topic" post. :(

I was cleaning up my desk a bit and discovered two metal Tim tags, so I apologize to the recipients of my PIF's for not getting them into your envelope.

OK... just trying to get my head back in gear. Will the last two individuals who wanted the orange staples please PM me "again" so that I can get them in the mail. I just can't seem to find anything in my in-box right now. Really appreciate that.

ALSO - still have two boxes of orange staples left if anyone wants them. They do make a nice little embellishment for Thanksgiving/Fall cards.

OK, on one of the threads I frequent someone was asking where she could buy a Magic Matter. I thought it was this thread, but I can not find the original post. If this sounds familiar to anyone, could you please send me a PM?

Thanks!

One box of orange staples left.

ALSO... have one package Avery 3/4 inch round yellow labels (approx 1008 labels). These are laser printer compatible and are called "removable" labels -- but of course you can put permanent adhesive on the back.

You are so sweet. Both my books are still available through my publisher (Baker Books), AMAZON.com, or most large online bookstores.

Default NEW OFFER (MY FIRST)

It arrived yesterday but I didn't get online after dinner. It looks even more inpsiring than I hoped. Thanks SO much for a generous PIF.

I have a bundle of things to go to the first person to PM their address (US only please) to me. I usually mail on Wednesdays:

I couldn't find links (or DH's camera) so I'll describe as best I can what is in the bundle ...
  • Recollections Flower Embellishment (it is brown/beige with a brown "gemstone" brad in the center. The package says it has 12 petals, some of them are brown polka dots. It is one large flower that could be a focal point on a card or part of a scrapbook page.
  • Offray Jacquard Daisy ribbon in brown/pink (9 feet on never-used spool. The ribbon is 5/8" wide.
  • Jolee's Boutique dimensional stickers (white flowers edged in silver with a clear "rhinestone" in the center. The package has 2 small and 2 medium flowers. I intended to use them for a wedding/anniversary card but stashed them away so well I couldn't find them LOL!
  • DCWV (Diecuts With a View) Glitter Stickers. This is called Fun Flowers and most of them are white with blue, pink or orange but there are also blue, pink and orange flowers. This would be fun to use on a card for a little girl (or for her to make a card!)
  • Rub-Ons by Fancy Pants Designs (I think it's called The Daily Grind). It has some fish, stylized flowers and hearts among other "design" elements. Some of it (imo) would appeal to those that like the grunge look. The colors are red, black, blue (kinda aqua), and yellow - reminds me a bit like SU's retired marigold Morning, and greens.
All the items will go to one person but feel free to pass along (or even trash) anything you don't want. I just want to keep mailing simplified.
