Is there a date for the next VSN?? I'd love to plan to have DH take the boys away for the weekend so I can fully participate the next time! I'm stuck here in the house due to the hurricane with the in-laws & brother in law since our big family vacation got cut short with the hurricane evacuations and we had to come home early. I'll mark it on my calendar if there is a date! I'm loving reading the challenges and seeing all the galleries! Great work ladies!
ooooh! I just read that "think time" doesn't have to count!!! I participated in my first one tonight. I got one challenge in. Next time I hope to be able to do more.

OK, I learned to resize my photo. Step 1 ok. Then I did an upload from the left side of the page where it say to upload a card. Put in the correct keyword but not showing in the VSN gallery. Also don't understand how to include it in a post (doing a link?). Sorry, tech challenged.

Your cards are in the correct gallery. When you click on your keyword, when in your card, you will see your card and all the others who posted a card in that particular gallery.
If you want to post it in the challenge thread, the easy way is right click on title under the photo in your gallery, (without actually going into it) and click copy shortcut. Then go to thread, and say here is my card and paste the address and submit. There is another way, but for now try that.
I am also electronically challenged, and SCS has been a learning experience for me. Different ones have helped when I asked.
I still need to make my last card the Winterwonderland VSN mini but I do have a question. I found making six cards in one night exhausting! How many challenges are posted for the main event? I think it goes over 2 days so how many each day? Also - I'll need to figure out what to do with the cards. I'm not planning on senting any more to WT Anderson - I think the love should be shared and spread out. Does anyone know of some other organization (other than Cards for the Troops since they, too, seem to get a lot of cards)?

there are challenges on the Friday evening of VSN (same as the mini) then one each hour starting at noon on Saturday....LOTS of stamping FUN!
Good thing is you get all weekend to work on them, you never have to do them all at the time they are posted if you aren't up for it
And you also don't have to do them all, it's all just for fun so do as many as you like!
the supply list is confusing me....
there are sub comments about reinkers, and other products, but I don't see them on the list....does the shopping list change after each challenge or am I missing something.:confused: :confused:

It's because the shopping list was updated after the mini VSN. The items you see listed in the first post are what you will need (in additional to what you already have) for the main event, tonight and tomorrow
Lee or Jimmi will have to chime in on how often VSN takes place. It seems like it is every few months.
Yep.....the list was updated to reflect only the new things that would be needed for this Main VSN.
VSN's are a quarterly event.....so generally Feb/March, May/June, Aug/Sept, and Nov/Dec. Those are approximate and could vary a bit but basically the mini is the first month of those pairs and the main is the second.

so just so i get this strait there is a main list for the whole thing and then each part (mini and main) has its own modified list

do you mean supplies that are on hand generally....still a little confused as the updated list seems rather small for a challenge that is many cards (5 the friday night and several saturday)

I used the World Clock and it's 10 pm your time.....just over half an hour from now!

the challenge is described in the thread, then to play along - make your card and upload it to your gallery. Make sure in the upload you put the keyword in the field as you're filling out all your card info (it looks like this DEC11VSNA the last letter varies based on the challenge). Come back to the specific challenge thread and post a link to your card.
Hi everybody. I'm very new to SCS but I can't figure out what this Virtual Stamp Night is all about. I've read through this thread for answers but ended up more confused. Would someone explain to me what VSN is? Thanks for any info you can give me!!!
