I couldn't make up my mind which color to use for the card base. DH chose the ruby red so I made 2 of them and 3 with the vanilla card base. I think I'm hooked on the quilt cards. I should have taped the ribbon ends down before scanning; they had a mind of their own and wouldn't stay put.
OMGosh that is so funny. Lois, who makes that stamp?
The stamp set is by Sparkle n Sprinkle. I don't think they are very well known but they have some amazing stamps. They just opened a store in Ruskin, Florida, which is about 50 miles north of me, but mostly they do shows and mail orders. You can sign up for their monthly newletter and get the scoop on their special sales. The website also has an awesome gallery, lots of techniques and tips, card contests and games with prizes!

Lois, I don't know if I should thank you or not for that link. I'm really trying not to buy more stamps, but I really have to spend more time on their site. I'm thinking I might need to get that stamp set.

Ha, I know what you mean. I've been trying to use up my stash rather than add to it. Maybe you could enter one of their contests and WIN that stamp set! Or maybe someone (hint, hint) could start an image swap and I could send it to you. ;)

Oooh - I really like those quilt cards! That would be a great way to use up some of those little scraps of Christmas paper that I can't bear to throw away!

Thanks. I really didn't think I'd have to patience to do the quilt, but I'm so hooked on them now.
Here's my second card for the month. I've had to make so many other cards I haven't had time to focus on my Christmas cards yet. I think things have slowed a little now, so on to Christmas! Her's a link to my card:

I started my February cards, finally. This is really testing my resolve to churn out 88 identical (or nearly identical) cards. I made two Christmas Cards this week for a challenge, but I'm not going to count them because they are not my chosen 2011 design.
I think I'm going to satisfy myself by allowing variations in each month's set of 8. While I'm going to stick with the same image, I'll allow myself to change up the layout, colors and technique. Last month was the glossy accents, faux tile/spotlighting, and stickles. This month is still in the design phase.

No blog for me. My gallery chronicles my card-making successes and mishaps.
I don't want the time to go by quickly, as I have only until Tuesday here in Texas to spend with my grandsons. I'm so happy it's a school holiday on Monday!

I have had these done for awhile and almost forgot to post them!!! Even tho my goal is to make 5 a month, I did make 10 of these ones. They seemed so cheery I kept going! Hybrid Polar Bears
Here is the group shot and a pic of the inside. More details on my blog (www.alteredscrapbooking,dotcom)

Love the way the inside reflects the outside! Great card.

Looks like I get to be first to post in this thread. Here are my February cards for the challenge. This is a CASE of a beautiful Christmas card I received this year from muzbysmom. I added the snowflake embellishment and glittered it up. I just loved the design and it's my favorite stamp set. I think I'm going to do some in pink for March. I used the same embossing folder on the inside, with the sentiment stamped in the "blank" space.
Just now getting to the Feb. Thread. Sandy, your card is lovely. I can see why you like it so much. Great job!

So Last night i went upstairs fully intending to do one more one of a kind card for January... knew i had some moose images colored with lights in the antlers and knew i had seen some paper in the stash with lights on it... dug out that piece of paper and found... there was blue on it, and it did not look good with anything I had colored previously so chopped up that piece of paper and squeezed 6 cards out of the sheet...
Link goes to a single card shot in the gallery...
Great cards, Stacy!
I have this die and use it a lot. I'd never thought to use ribbon on the threaded part of the die. I found duct tape styled adhesive paper 8.5x11 at Michaels last week and that's what I used.

This challenge really makes October and November easy. I am once again keeping my cards pretty flat since I use the Christmas card challenge cards for OWH.
Hope you can see the attachment.
Great card, Christine! I love the little village along the ribbon. Great job and congrats on completing your Feb. challenge

You ladies are just doing AMAZING! I haven't even pulled my supplies out for Feb. yet. I'm waiting to do them on VSD - which is coming up on the 25th. Don't miss it. Plan to come visit with me on this and the main thread throughout the day.
Have your Feb. done? Not a problem... You can work ahead. We don't mind ;-)
