Cheops is indeed an Ocicat. He is a chocolate-silver. They come in 12 different colors. The Ocicat is an agouti spotted cat originating from interbreeding of Abyssinian, Siamese and American Shorthair. If you are not familiar with Ocicats they are very interactive cats - always involved in the activities around them. He has learned to open my French doors with the swipe of a paw (not something I encourage). One day I caught him peeking inside the medicine cabinet so now the bathroom door remains closed when we are not home. Cheops has the spirit of a dog in a cat's body and is very sociable. I really haven't tried to train him to do any tricks. I heard you can walk them on a leash, but it isn't something I have ever done since he is an indoor cat. They do tend to be a little more vocal than other cats. I believe it is because they have some Siamese. They are still cats though and I don't want you to think they can be trained like dogs. They just tend to be more personable.
I'm sorry to say Jennipher has decided to step down from the group as she has other commitments. It looks like we are down to 5 members + me. The group consists of Kari, Rebekka, Kelly, Cheryl and Terry.
Could all of you update your sidebars and let me know if you are still in. Thank you!
Donna, Thanks for the update. I'm sorry to see Jennipher leave the group. I'm still in (I hope). This is the one thing that keeps me sane (my blog and blog group). I pray each night to have the time and creativity to continure.
Not sure how many of you will see this, but wanted you to know I'm thinking about you all. I hope you are having a wonderful spring.
It's been a real spring here...the gradual warming...the one day warm next day cold...instead of the cold to HOT (winter straight to summer) we've had the past few years...the bulbs I planted came up and made me happy...hectic here so even though I have been creative and done some cards and swaps I have not updated my blog :-( ...I hope everyone has a wonderful Mother's day weekend be safe/be well
