I am so happy for you! God is SO GOOD!
I am really looking forward the 18th-I am up for a cookie swap, recipe swap, or gift/craft exchange...I will subscribe to this thread so I won't miss anything.
Life is crazy...school, work, youth group, more school
I am really excited for you and your new home!

Thanks all! Sorry I'm quiet this week, nutty trying to get the house loan and inspection and all that stuff, then DS and future DIL are arriving this weekend to visit for the weekend and hopefully scan the area for jobs!
Chris -- if you have any more questions on the area and I can help any, just PM me and I'll try to answer whatever I can!
I don't think I'm doing door prizes at the monthly meetings, those were from the store and those who wanted to donate items. But I guess if someone else wanted to, they could, but I think the December one will involve a gift exchange thing so we'll go with that.
FOR THOSE WHO ARE GOING TO ATTEND IN DECEMBER: Do you want to do a cookie/sweets exchange also or stick to the gift exchange only?
WHERE OH WHERE ALL ARE THE STAMPERS OF LATE???
Are you all making Christmas cards or shopping or something???
I can't believe next week is Thanksgiving. It just doesn't feel like it yet for me. Anyone else? Normally I can feel the holiday season kicking in by now but it just hasn't yet here.
Susan, I am here but life has been awfully busy around here. This week I had circle meeting at church and a short week at work because my daughter is coming for a long weekend. Tonight is the Head Start dinner at church (I am team leader) and I still have to shop for groceries for the weekend, etc. Last night I was cleaning the camper so daughter and her partner can stay out there, and came across last year's Xmas (stamping) projects. I hung a garland up in the camper and instantly had the holiday feeling. Have a great week ladies. I'll be off line for a few days.
Ellen
Oh there you go teasing me with that camper again... I saw two locally that I wanted to just stop and buy but have to wait til the house thing is figured out!~
Susan-
For the cookie exchange, just bring cookies and the recipe? Sorry-never done one before

Well, it would be like that, just bringing enough to share/swap out with each person who signs up, i.e. if you had 6 people come, you'd bring 6 dozen cookies or a bread loaf or pie for each person for example, but since we haven't heard back from the others, not sure if we are going ot do it!
WE ARE DOING A HANDCRAFTED GIFT & MATCHING KIT EXCHANGE:
In celebration of the holidays, let's do a crafting gift exchange!
To participate in it, bring a wrapped gift that has a handcrafted project you have made (stamping &/or papercrafting), plus a kit of instructions/supplies to make at least one more of it also. You don't need to include the tools/basics that most of us have (no glue, tape, scissors, etc.) but include the paper, embellishments, or specialized supplies. Approx. kit supplies should be $10 total to keep things balanced and reasonable.
CLASS: Ellen will teach an envelope calendar/organizer project -- watch for her list of supplies to be posted.
I think we'll skip the cookie/baked item exchange as the craft gift will be enough to put together in addition to the holidays, but if anyone wanted to bring cookies to share, I'm sure none of us would begrudge them!!! Or maybe the handcrafted gift involves cookies or baked goods packaging...?
LOOKING forward to seeing you again and to a new year with even more meet & greets!!!
ABSOLUTELY AWESOME, Ellen!!!! Thanks!!! Sounds likes the perfect item to start the year off right!!!
Let us know what we need to bring to do the project!

Happy holidays,

JCI. I have been busy. Changing rooms and finishing off a basement (well, sort of). Thanks for setting this up Susan. I look forward to seeing you again. -- Annette
I've been cyber-shopping. Found some recordable books to send to my grandchildren. I get to read the stories and they can play it back. Pretty sappy but I think it's cool.
Hi,
Just checked in here, and this sounds like fun. But, I have the same question as Susane4--Will it move around? I am about 4 hours away from Purcerville, so I can not go, but it sounds like lots of fun. Hope you all have a great time.
Not sure if it would move, I guess it would depend really on who can find the location to host and is willing to host it!
Marty and I found info on the Purcellville Library -- they have a free large room with tables and chairs and we can have food in there. So that is a big plus.
Hi, Susan. Please put me down for the February get together.
Since it's a ways off I will confirm later on, but will probably bring brownies.
Winter makes me want to bake!
Just checking in before the weekend. I think I have finished my shopping (we don't buy a lot of gifts anymore. Just immediate family) so will be planning my Xmas menu and shopping lists for baking. Have a great weekend ladies.
