Hi there!
May Showers. When I was a child, May Showers meant a stroll down the alley in my red rubber boots while soft rain fell on my red hair making it stick to my face. I remember the MUD puddles and the yucky BROWN stuff all over my pretty red rubber boots!
I would run into the kitchen and beg my mother to wipe down my boots so that they would be clean again. Oh, did I mention that I was in 1st GRADE??? I bet I didn't mention that I wore those things to bed! Oh, and bathed in them! Yep, I couldn't let those babies get dirty!
Today, "May Showers" make me me think of WATER. And, Stamper that I am, I think of WATERCOLORS! So, I challenge you to make a card using WATERCOLORS! If you don't have traditional watercolors, you can use: an aqua painter and markers, an aqua painter and your ink pad, or a brush and watercolor pencils or crayons! You can use what ever you can think of....AND...Have your card have a good amount of BROWN, like the MUD that used to get on my boots!

Faith, I had a pair of those red rubber boots too. I loved them, but sure didn't worry about them getting dirty. We lived on a farm and had lots of lovely mud puddles. Can't wait to see what people do with this challenge.

Back when I was little, red or black were the only choices. I sure love the variety of colors and designs those boots come in nowadays! Vibrant polka dots, flowers, ladybugs . . . I want a pair with lady bugs!

I loved this challenge Watercolor is one of my favorite techniques and this gave me an excuse to use this stamp set and my watercolor paper.
Hi Faith, I've not used watercolors (even if pencil) in like forever! Thanks for the challenge. I have been travelling for vacation and business for the last month and just got home last night.
Didn't even know it was VSN! What a pleasant surprise! I'll have to get at least a few of these in.
Faith, I loved this challenge! I hope you agree with me that the little girls have their feet in mud! (I should have used crystal effects on it. I think I will add it to the card!)

I'm not sure whether or not I have a stamp that's appropriate, but in any event I wanted to let you know that I LUV your challenge! I'll be looking for sure ...
Truth is ... one of my G'sons has already "hoped for" and therefore "received" rain boots as a b'day present! I can still "see" his face over that gift! Thanks a buncha!
So where oh when did my parents let those precious boots "leave us" ???

I can't wait to see what everyone else did,now that I finished my card. I pulled out my MFT set that I just bought recently, but have coveted for a couple years..how fun playing with it!
I used my Water colour crayons.
