I heard SU demos are uploading their cards to SU web site instead of the SCS gallery.
If so, why? I use the SCS gallery to decide if I want to buy a stamp set or not, also to get
ideas.
I would think it would be to their benefit to show their cards on SCS.
I upload to SCS and The SU only one.. and I think a lot of people are doing that... There might be a few that have stopped uploading on SCS, but I wouldn't say all of us have..

Can non-demos view their cards on the SU web site? I'm assuming probably not, right?

Yes - I'd love to know if I can see this area! Almost every SU purchase of mine was made because of the cards I've seen created here. I hope demos will continue to upload their cards - its a great selling point!

You are soooo right! I can't tell you how many SU stamp sets I have purchased after seeing cards using them in the gallery.
I think most of the demos who were a part of SCS before the SU demo site started still upload to both. As for me.....I've been too lazy to upload to either lately.

I wouldn't worry too much ladies, I think a lot of demos are uploading on BOTH sites. (Shame on me, I havn't uploaded anywhere in a while...darn job and wedding planning keep me busy, hehe) BUT I get A LOT of SCS gallery notices for cards that I just saw over on our demo site so I know they are uploading both places and I plan to as well. I love SCS and come here just as much as I used to.
What I really think is happening is that demos who didn't use SCS (*gasp*, you mean there are people who stamp that are NOT on SCS...I know right!!!!) are posting on the demo site, which is good for us demos I guess but doesn't help you all much though I know. BUT they wouldn't be posting here anyway.
So....maybe this could sway some people to come over to the dark side and sign up:-) I know I totally would have felt left out and had to sign up....hahaha :-) I'll try to upload some stuff this weekend!
I have uploaded to both, but honestly after I upload to my blog, and the SU site, I do forget about here. I am glad I saw this post and will remember SCS.

Thanks for the info! You are correct in that posting to the demo site does not help the customer who wants to see great samples of su sets - but it does give other demos great ideas. It would be such a shame to see the volume of SU cards decrease...this is the primary place for me to get information about SU sets and how to use them. I have no interest in becoming a demo because I don't want to sell stuff and I use alot of non SU products.
There has been some talk of this. I think there is a huge volume being uploaded to SU right now because people are uploading files from ages ago. I have seen a little decrease here, but I have also seen a decrease in threads, too, so it just may be a seasonal thing, or people are just trying SU out. It is a much more involved process than here. (Can you tell I haven't embraced it, ;))
I already upload here, to my webshots, and very little to my demo site. To upload one more place would kill me. LOL Unfortuately, I am not very prolific so my little bit won't help much.
Most demos do know the value of these boards and galleries. We just have a new toy, they'll be back. BTW, I only found SU because of SCS. I only found SCS because AOL was moving to unmoderated boards. I don't plan on going anywhere. I love it here!
I'm uploading to both places but it's much easier to find examples of certain sets here. Over on the SU site it's not very well organized. I check the galleries here before anywhere else and will continue to upload here. Not everyone is an SU demo and it would be a shame to miss seeing some of the AWESOME creations here.

Ok ladies here's the deal....the SU site is way unorganized (ugh) BUT for me I find it easier to upload because you don't upload into a gallery so I can do a you know what ton of photos at once:-) So I uploaded some today and now I have to go to work (yuck...really cuts into my stamping and internet time, teehee). BUT I will return sometime this week/weekend and upload here as well. I just don't have time today with work since I have to find each indiv gallery....until then......
Okay....don't everyone harp on me for this, but you know it really stinks that we can't see the demos cards. I don't understand why we can't view them. You would think we would be allowed to see them and in turn it might help with sales. I didn't know that there was a 'demo gallery' until today.

It is a SU tool provided through SU on their site, and it just started. Like support given a demo (or employee for that matter) and any company, some things are just meant to be internal.
The old way, they would cull though demo submissions to contests and post only six samples a day. I liked it because it was a treat, especially if you got an entry picked to be featured. So it was always there as a business resource to demos, it just has a vast new form. HTH
I don't have a very big big gallery, but I have been uploading my stuff to SCS, my blog and my SU website. I know how much I appreciate seeing ways to use products--that is why I decided to start uploading to SCS and will continue to do so.
I love it here and uploaded a batch of my cards that are already here when the SU site went up. I did it to show other demos how I've used our sets. The site is not yet well organized but I'm sure that will be improved over time. It is no substitute for the friendships, inspiration and fun I have here with all of you!!! You remind me that I have to upload to SU again with some more recent cards. Anyway, you can all see my stuff any time you want right here (if you want). Thanks for sharing.

I'm the opposite. I upload to my blog - just about every day of the year, and the next morning I upload on SCS. Sometimes I upload on the SU only site. :-) I get a lot of inspiration and enjoyment on this site and want to make sure that I can share whatever I can with everyone.
I think there are many SU demos who still upload to this site and I certainly will continue to do exactly what I have been doing.
