Clean and Simple (CAS) Favorites for Week Ending December 27, 2009
I hope everyone had a lovely holiday week, safe travels, and peace on earth, if only for a moment!
This thread celebrates clean and simple (CAS) stamping! Please post links to your favorite CAS cards that were posted to the gallery this week, and please take time to comment on at least a few CAS cards. We all love encouragement, don't we?
Here are my favorites for the holiday week past:
stampertammy made lovely one layer Christmas thank you cards
jaydeestamping punched A LOT of hearts for her Branch Out valentine
CherylQuilts used lots of layers but still made her card look CAS with a clean and monochromatic design
slfarrell's blinged up Christmas tree really caught my eye
Biggan is the Queen of square cards, and her girl at the beach is so sweet
JoBear2 posted a sponged Christmas card with Peaceful Wishes that shows distressed can be CAS, too!
ravengirl made a star card that uses white space perfectly
peebsmama made a cheerfully colored and pretty Thinking of You card
whoistracy's OLC Peace card totally blew me away with its crisp and clean use of some fab stamps and a single rhinestone
ReginaBD made me want to pull out Flight of the Butterfly when I saw her beautiful SUO card
juls716 posted a bermuda bay and white thank you card that is perfectly, stunningly CAS
Schofield27 made an OLC of kraft and red ribbon that is so festive and fun!
giogio's OLC is so textured and pretty (not to mention the awesome photogaphic setting!)
juliemlacey posted a FABULOUS OLC with birdhouses and a white satin bow
Miss Boo let her sentiment speak out loud with a simple and pretty card
k dunbrook posted a perfect card with the CAS challenge sketch (which I made nothing but scrap paper for...sigh)
tashers made a stand-out holiday button bits (PTI) card that pushed me over the edge to buy this set...shame on you, tashers!
We get presents every day of the year because people share their beautiful work here on SCS. It takes precious time and effort to photograph, download, upload, and type a description of a card, and I know I'm not the only one who is deeply grateful that so many people take that time and make that effort each day.
I want to thank each and every one of you who has supported this thread with posts, comments on the cards, and even those who just look. This year has been very good to the Clean and Simple style on SCS...this weekly thread and Miss Boo's weekly challenge are active and positive and fun outlets for those of us who enjoy CAS. They have also helped me personally improve my cards, and I see stunning work each week, as today's list shows.
Let's make 2010 another great year. Long live CAS!
Thanks so, so much Susan....aka Lateblossom, for mentioning my card. So appreciated.
I would also like to thank all the wonderful people who continue to inspire me here. What a fantastic, supportive community to be a part of. A real blessing.
I saw some other fantastic cards on blogs...but they aren't posted here on SCS :( so I can't mention them...cuz they don't get into my favorites folder. Hope you all catch the hint... ;) ... don't forget to put your cards in your gallery here...pretty please!!?!!??!
Thanks so much to Susan for organizing the CAS favorites each week, Karen for notifying everyone mentioned, Miss Boo for posting the challenges, and the design teams for providing so much inspiration each week! I just love this part of SCS -- thank you! Now for a few of my favorites this week:
I have a couple favorites this week: juliemlacey's card that's been mentioned at least once already -- it is grand!
and tashers's great penguin card (from last Sunday, I know) -- inspires me to pull this set out soon!
Great job on both -- and probably plenty of others, too!
