WT244 - A Faux Feel (11/12/09)
Hi everyone! I'm filling in for Julia rather last minute this morning as she's feeling a bit under the weather. Today we're using (or creating) faux textures. You can use patterned papers that look textured, you can create your own by embossing, using textured background stamps or a faux technique. (There are lots of them in the Resources and Technique sections here). If you use Copic markers and have the colorless blending solution, you can soak a piece of ribbon or paper towel in the solution and then press onto your colored area for a quick "textured" area. How can you create a faux texture?
Please remember to put WT244 in your keywords section and post a link back here so that we can all see your project. Cards, layouts, altered projects are all welcome. Please link only newly uploaded creations please. This challenge is to get you creating!

Thanks, Michele, for stepping in for Julia. Hope she is feeling better soon.
What a good idea for a challenge subject. I love my CB folders which give "instant" texture.

What a fun challenge. I hope I did it right. Thanks Michele for hostessing today's challenge. I hope Julia gets feeling better soon.
Here is my card. I used black magic and brick wall as my techniques to add texture.

Yeah, this challenge pretty much reinforced why I mostly don't do 'technque-y' types of things... Oh well, at least I tried, and the result is here:
