CSSC91 MASKquerade 10/20/09
Good Tuesday Morning Ladies!
It's almost Halloween ,so I thought we should put on some MASKS for the occasion.
So today's challenge is just that.....
1. You can draw a mask on the face of any Crafty Secrets stamp image or HeartWarming Vintage item.
2. Or you could cut out a little mask and attach it on.
3. Or you could find an image that already has a mask on it.
You will probably want to use Halloween colors ,but any will do.
Don't forget to put CSSC91 and Crafty Secrets in your keywords and then come back here and post a link to your MASK card.
There is no limit to when you can play...just have FUN!
here's mine

What a great idea, Pammyjo! Fortunately, I've some Crafty Secrets images with masks. I'll post my card later this week; I've three flats of violas to plant today, hiking tomorrow, and windows to clean on Thursday, taking advantage of a few warmer sunny days.
What a fantastic card, Julie. What is your secret to such even glitter lines?

Good morning, ladies! Gee, Pammyjo! Thanks for doing all the work for me today--you're a sweetie! I'm a little sloggy today--got some kind of cold or something yesterday, so thanks!
Thanks, Cammie! No secrets...I do different things for glitter--a thin glue "pen" which I get at Michaels, sticky strip for my wide glitter "frames", or just luck that my hand doesn't freak out when I used regular glue! That's about it!
Can't wait to see everyone's masked cards--how exciting!
Thanks for a great challenge, Pammyjo (and a really easy one for me!)

Thanks Pammyjo!! I'm sure glad I waited until today ... I had the "MASK" correct but I was thinking more along the line of MASKING ... the technique! So with waiting until today, I used BOTH. Hope you enjoy my creation ... this was a GREAT challenge idea!!
Here are: Your Invited (Outside) and Your Invited (Inside)
Now it's time for me to get outside and get some clean up done! Not too many nice days left so I need to take advantage of these last few 60 degree days. I'll stop back later today to see what everyone has come up with.
(HOPE YOU FEEL BETTER JULIE ... I'm sending you cyber chicken soup ... eat it slowly, it's very hot) LOL!! Take care my friend!!

Hey Ladies thanks for checking out the challenge today.
Way to cover your bootie Darlene...when in doubt do two! Thanks for filling the gallery.
Cammie, enjoy planting your pretty little flowers and a sunny fall hike, we'll look forward to seeing your card.
Julie, so sorry a storm is hanging over your head....make sure it's not the flu. I hear that Dar's cyber soup is killer good! Oh, also take a minute and drop in the CSSC91 in your keywords on your WONDERFUL mask card so it gets in the gallery.

I started a card last week but never finished it so I already had a base for this week...I have been wanting to try the Cuttlebug wax paper resist so I used the Swirls folder and rubbed several shades of green over it and black around the edges. I also had the image with the mask already cut out for another project never finished so this week was pretty easy...finally, it was missing something sooo...I thought "What would Julie do"? and finished it off with a couple strips of glitter! (hope you are feeling better Julie)

Hi Pammy Jo. I had to work today and I'm trying to get a couple of challenge cards done using my FCD stamps. I used stickles, so no glitter on my fingers!

Way to draw inspiration from real life Pammy Jo! Actually I bought a bunch of stampendous glitter with good intentions of getting my fingers "dirty", but I guess old habits (stickles) die hard. I never thought about it, but I think I grab my black and clear stickles the most. I need to branch out and start using my colored glitter more! Thanks for reminding me.

I have used Martha Stewart black and I also like Dazzling Diamonds they are both very fine. I know Julie uses some of that glass chunky stuff so if you're out there Julie--refresh my memory what you use! I did find some at my local art store but have not tried it yey.

WOW ... you GLITTER GALS are amazing! I have always had a PHOBIA against glitter but I've been trying to be brave and use them a little more. I have a local stamping friend who is a real GLITTER QUEEN and she's always bugging me about it! Especially with the holidays coming ... she says a holiday card's not complete until it has SPARKLE! I do believe there's a few others of you with that philosophy!! I must say this was a REALLY UNIQUE challenge ... leave it to Pammyjo ... I think UNIQUE is her middle name! Way to go ladies ... LOVIN' the chatter too ... I learn something new all the time from you ladies!!!

Hey girls! Everyone's coming up with such great stuff this week!
Glitter, let's see....seems like I've got some around here somewhere.................! I love my real silver glitter, and for color, my favorite is the German glass glitter--nothing sparkles quite like it! There's a bunch of places that sell it, here are a couple of my favorites:

(Dang, it, girls! Just now, when I went to get you the link, I bought more glitter!!!)
and

Hope this helps! Don't be scared girls--glitter=fun, fun, fun!
