Hi everyone & welcome to the Magnolia-licious Challenge for today!
I love Christmas & the winter holidays--it is my favorite time of the year! I put up 8 Christmas trees in my house every year & I'm always making or buying new ornaments for my trees.
With that being said, today's challenge here is to make a Holiday Ornament (Christmas, Hannukah or just Winter Themed)! You can make an ornament that will hang up or a card that has an ornament attached to the front--it's up to you! Have fun with it, try new techniques and just get crafty! Winter and the holidays will be here very SOON!! :-D
I will also be here in the thread "LIVE" from 3 pm until 4 pm EST if you want to chat or say "hi"!!
Please use the keyword WCMD09F when uploading your cards to your SCS gallery and come back and post them here too so we can see what you've made, okay!!!
Three PRIZE PACKS will be given away each containing 3 Magnolia stamps!! The winners will be announced on the official Winner's Thread on Monday!!
To view all the projects in this thread, you can go HERE!
WCMD INFO:
~You do not need to use Magnolia-licious stamps for this project, ANY supllies will do!
~You have until midnight (EST) on Sunday the 4th to upload to be eligible for a Member Company prize.
~Winners will be posted on Monday, October 5th, here in the Splitcoast Challenges Forum.
~We are partnering up with Operation Write Home! If you'd like to donate your World Card Making Day cards you can find the info on their webiste on where to send them or you can mail them to me and I'll send them on to them!!

Hi Suzanne! I'm just home from a Mexican lunch complete with a (yes, only part of one or I'd be toast!) Margarita so I'm regrouping, getting a plan going for what I've missed so far!

My house isn't big enough for eight trees! Now that I am the only one who lives in my house, I downsized to one three-and-a-half foot tree. I gave all the unused ornaments to my daughter for her tree. BTW, your samples are great!
Off to make something for your challenge!

Hi Suzanne: With my hubby and I traveling in our motorhome to FL for the winter, putting up a Christmas Tree is quite a challenge. LOL I have a small one that is so cute that we put on the steering wheel (ok that is when we are NOT driving) :-) But I do most of my decorating in the yard right beside my motorhome. We have won the best decorated lot the past two years. So I guess I make up for not having a big tree for doing the yard decorations. :-) WOW 8 and possibly 9 trees....please post pictures for us when they are all up. I always loved putting them up, but hated the take down.

An animal themed tree - that would be very interesting! I'm a retired biologist and animal rescue rehabilitator. Right up my alley! ;)

Hiya Pat! I'd love to see your decorated lot--I bet it's fabulous!
Yes, I have 7 furbabies in my house (5 cats & 2 dog) & foster kitties when I can, so I've wanted an animal tree for awhile!

3 days of non-stop decorating inside & out & I'm done--I have it down to a science. Two of our trees we "hunt" at a tree farm the rest are fake, hee hee!

I broke down several years ago and started putting up a fake tree. But I wanted to have it up for almost the whole month and found the real trees weren't made for that....especially since It seems as though I have a lot of heavy ornaments. so the branches were curled down and brittle.

Suzanne: Do you think that the Magnolia stamps will ever go digital? I love all of them and am so impatient sometimes to wait for them to be mailed. Is that just me, or is anyone else like that??

Well, with my cats they're always knocking ornaments off---but they've never tried to climb the trees thankfully!

Aaaaawww!! But the look in their eyes when they see it is amazing!!! I put all the breakable ornaments up high when they are small and the more durable and ....um....less...pretty ornaments down low.
