Hi everyone and welcome to the 5th challenge of this World Card Making Day event! I am VERY excited to be your hostess for the Verve Stamps challenge!
Our challenge is a color challenge of sorts. Below is a link to pictures of the flags of all the world's nations. Your challenge is simple, pick a flag and make a card using the colors of that flag. Be sure to tell us what country you chose and the colors on it.
http://www.photius.com/flags/alphabetic_list.html
Please use keyword WCMD09E when uploading, so we can find your card. Verve Stamps are not required, but if you got 'em why not use 'em?
To view all of the cards for this challenge click HERE.
WCMD INFO:
-You do not need to use Verve Stamps for this challenge, ANY supplies will do!
-You have until midnight (EST) on Sunday the 4th to upload to be eligible for the prize drawings.
-Winners will be posted on Monday, October 5th, here in the Splitcoast Challenges Forum.
-We are partnering up with Operation Write Home! If you'd like to donate your World Card Making Day cards you can find the info on their website on where to send them (look on the left sidebar).
Attached are some samples, from left to right:
Verve Diva Tosh chose Sierra Leone with colors of green, blue and white.
Verve Diva Teresa chose Botswana with colors of black, pale blue and white.
And I chose Rwanda with colors of pale blue, green and yellow.
I CAN't wait to see what everyone comes up with! Happy World Card Making Day!!

I'm behind on the challenges and I don't know where to start. Should I start with the first challenge and work forward? Should I randomly point at the screen and pick one? Should I start with this one and work backwards? Decisions...

I need to start doing this! I always think, I want to make a separate card for each one then I never finish on time.

Oh this one is going to present way to many decisions. Should I go with my families heritage or just close my eyes and point at the screen? LOL!! I'm sure I'll come up with something. Thx.

Ohhhh, such fun! I can't believe how fun this is. Thank you so much! Being a newbie, I am loving it. Not new to stamping but certainly new to challenges.

I decided to honor my ancestors and use the Irish flag. The colors of that flag are green, orange, and white. Here's my card -- Irish Abundance.

I chose to use United States as I have this large flag stamp I've had for years. My son-in-law just deployed to Iraq this past week and DGS wants to send him a note. Didn't turn out the way I thought it would when I colored with markers and then spritzed with water. The blue just wouldn't stamp for me so I had to recolor on the cardstock.

Too funny Grammy I am doing the same thing today. Love that I got to use it! Here is my entry: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ga...&ppuser=211910
I choose Bulgaria also for its green, red and white color combination!
Sorry I don't own any Verve Stamps but just took a peek at your website and am loving them! Will definitely be looking out for them in the stores!
