***Viva la Verve! September Week 1 {8/28/09}***
Hey ladies! Amber's vacationing this week, so I'm kicking off the new month of challenges for her. I've been super exhausted lately, so I hope y'all won't mind that I'm posting a little early! {grin}
Are you ready for a fresh start to a new month? And a new {TWIST}?
For VLV Newbies, here are the deets! Every Friday Amber will post a new sketch with a {twist}. The {twist} is an extra requirement for your sketch card! Could be an inspiration challenge, a color challenge, a limited supplies challenge, who knows! There is no solid deadline for each sketch, but they DO need to be uploaded to the VLV Gallery by the last week of the month! For September, there will be five sketches and all five sketches must be uploaded by MIDNIGHT CST on 1 October! Amber will announce the winner on 2 October! And what's up for grabs? Well, Verve's ENTIRE next release of stamps!!! So are you ready to play?
This weeks {TWIST} is little round things! That can mean whatever you want it to be - dew drops, buttons, brads, rhinestones, pearls, punches, beads, etc! I've attached two versions of the sketch. If you don't have any border punches that would work for the curves, it'll look great with straight edges, too!
Keywords are Verve (if using Verve Stamps) and VLVSep01

Thanks for filling in for Amber, Julee. After a very busy week it will be nice to be able to stamp. Got my new Verve goodies this week and can't wait to play with them!!

Thanks for filling in Julee. I can't recall if I have ever made a card on the same day that the sketch was posted! My little round items for the twist are these pretty rhinestones

I did *start* with the sketch for this card, but rearranged a little given the size of my scissors... I have another idea in my head for this sketch as well that is a little more compliant -- I'll work on that one as well. Thanks!

Hello "elly",
There is no deadline for Viva La Verve sketches. You can post them anytime. To be eligible to win the next Verve Stamp release there is a deadline. The last week or fullest week of the month Amber opens a champion thread to post a link to all the months sketch challenges. Complete them all by the deadline in that thread and you enter. Eazy Peazy!
