*New and Open* Dreamin' of a PINK Christmas - Card Swap

Ok, I have been singing that Dreaming of a White Christmas song, except for some reason I keep thinking PINK. Call me weird, but what a challenge... a PINK Christmas card.

So the theme of this card swap is to use the color pink (any shade of pink) in your Christmas card design. You can use designer paper, cardstock, ink, brads, ribbon, anything just as long as there is pink on your card.

Description requirement: Full Size Card - 4 1/4 x 5 1/2, any style card welcome.

Quantity: 5+1 (the plus one is for the hostess)
You will make six cards in total and receive five back. If enough sign up, you will not get one of your own back, so make sure to make an extra one for yourself! You can sign up for as many spots as you like, just make sure you make different cards for each spot.

Vendor products: NVR, but please use only good quality card stock
Please use at least 2 layers & at least one embellishment.
Create a card that you would be proud to receive and/or mail out.

Recipe: Although a recipe is not required, some folks may want to know how to case your card, or what kind of technique you are using as we are always trying to learn. However, please add Your Real Name, SCS Name, Swap Name on a post it and attach to the back of each card.

Deadline: Please have in my hands by November 15, 2009 and I will have them postal within 7-10 days after the due date and in plenty of time to mail out before Christmas. Cards not received by then will regrettably be returned to sender as not to hold up the swap.

Mailing instructions: Packaging and Swap Return:
Mailing: Put your cards in a ziplock bag for waterproof purposes with the swap name, your real name, and your SCS name also in bag for identification purposes.

First Class: Please place baggie inside a self addressed stamped envelope for return mail purposes. The amount of postage on you SASE should be the same amount that it takes to mail to the swap hostess, plus two extra stamps just in case needed. Any unused postage will be returned with your cards. Thanks!

Oh, I love the color pink! I'm in for a spot please.

All I want for Christmas is a pink Christmas tree! Truly, that's what I want! I found one last year, didn't buy it; thought about it some more, went back to get it and it was gone! The clerk said they could have sold 50 more of them. SO, this year, if I see a pink tree, it's coming home with me!

I just got home from the bridal shower. It was very nice. My girls were crazy, but pretty cute...lol We set up a kids table with princess (brides) color pages and crayons, cupcakes, and fancy cut pb&j's. There was a total of 7 kids and they loved it. My friend gots lots of great presents and was pleased with the one from me. I made a purse out of the Big Note Sizzix and put fake money in it with a fake credit card. The back of the fake credit card told her that I've booked us for a mani & pedi the morning before the wedding, my treat. I'm the maid of honor, so I'll have her that day anyways.

I've been doing a major cleanup in the girls' bedroom. I've thrown 3 bags of stuff away and have more to go through tomorrow while they are at church with my MIL. I just don't think I can handle their cries while I throw some more toys away...lol Anyways, I took a break a little while ago and went outside to feed the wild/stray cat that has been hanging out in my yard swing. I've been feeding him for about a week and a half. He always runs when I get about 6-8 feet from him. He let me pet him tonight! YAY!
