Default CSSC79 - Splash of Color

Welcome to this week's Crafty Secrets Stimulating Creativity Challenge!

This week we are going to make an otherwise monochromatic card and give it a splash of color!

Use a monochromatic scheme for your card, then add a splash of one other color using embellies, your favorite coloring medium, cardstock, etc.

A word of caution: I had to restrain myself from using too much of my accent color. If you use too much, then you'll lose that pop of color look that we're after with this challenge.

My Sample Card

I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone's creations! Hope you all have fun with this challenge!

Sounds awesome, Marcy! I know I've been MIA, I'm flighty like that-I'll be back! Hopefully I'll get Pammyjo's challenge from last week and this one as well. I get burned out when I use one company so much, then I need a break. I probably use CS more then any other company, so I took a few days off!

Actually, yesterday I made a Halloween treat box with the stickers. I love those things, there are SO many stickers on one little sheet. Do you girls have any? I love 'em!

Default Christmas in July

Monochromatic can be so challenging but in a good way, loved the splash of color.

I tried to stretch a little outside my comfort zone and use a muddy dark brown. I think I'll try another one with brighter color. It's fun to play.

Here, finally, is my card for the monochromatic challenge--this was fun, Marcy! Although, as I said in my photo description, I didn't intend for my splash to be such a dull one, but oh well! But, I guess I kind of merged gold in with my brown, so that's a little bit splashy!

I've had this on my desk and even took it camping this past weekend to color! Hope my "Splash" isn't to much:
