Default Tell me about "Out of the Box" Technique!

What is it called when you stamp an image and then you cut a square around it leaving part of the image outside the box. Then you cut the shape of the image on the outside only.
I called it outside the box, but when I look for this technique using this name nothing comes up.
Is there a proper name for this?????
Thanks in advance!
Kim

I am wondering if you are thinking of the "out-of-the-box" technique. There is a wonderful tutorial here if this is what you are looking for.

Hope this helps!

That link doesn't go to the page in your link for some reason. It just takes you to her main page. I think the right link is:

Thanks so much! I love the look of that but was always intimidated by it. It's really easy! Maybe I'll try it later. It's supposed to be 100 degrees and humid in NC so it's definitely a stay inside day!

These are great! I have seen so many wonderful cards using this technique, but I looked at them and thought I'd mess it up if I tried. Seeing the actual tutorials for it was wonderful! Can't wait to try this now!!

Thanks to everyone for the wonderful links and thank you to kimr for asking
