IC184 ~ Lovely Package {06-13-09}
I am forever fascinated by packaging. I am inspired by the way that companies decide to market their products. So, needless to say, I got lost for hours on the cool website Lovely Package that features the very best that package design has to offer.
For those of you who say you get overwhelmed with having too many choices, I have uploaded three of my favorite designs, so just stick with one (or all) of those for your inspiration.
For the rest of you, feel free to use anything from the Lovely Package website for your inspiration. Just remember to link us to the item that inspired you.
Use the keyword: IC184 (no spaces or extra characters) when you upload your card, and make sure you put commas between your key words.
My sample ~ Coco-Luxe Owl Hello
IC84 Gallery
How to Play ~ View the attached images. You may be inspired to recreate the pieces ~ but that isn't necessary ... get your inspiration from the colors, layout, style or 'theme'. Just enjoy wherever your inspired creative journey takes you. Make the inspiration piece your own. Don't worry ~ no card is 'wrong' and there is no time limit for uploading your card for the challenge. There are no rules, so let your creative juices run wild ~ be *inspired* and go get stamping!
Don't forget about No Upload Sunday - Let's give the gallery moderators a day off and not upload on Sunday (unless, of course, you are a Fan Club member - yet another reason to spend a little money on your favorite site). Also, remember to link to your SCS gallery on this thread. Thank you for joining me on this inspiration journey.

Cant wait to check this one out, Stef. Thanks so much. Interesting that you are so into packaging! There are several BS/MS programs in the country that deal with that very area. It's a science, that's for sure. I'm not sure I'm terribly science oriented, but I'll give tomorrow's challenge a go for it.

Thanks! My schedule has been keeping me busy with my boys being on summer school break and getting home my son Codys baseball game just now. I thought I would give it a try for "ME" time tonight. I''ll post soon, hopefully!

This card that I made only hours ago fits with this challenge - here is my card:
http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ga...9422?cat=12479
COLOR inspiration from the first sample on the website -
http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/fo...d.php?t=442569
Made this card to welcome my brand new baby grand daughter, Olivia Lou~ This makes grand daughter #7 with no grand sons!! Girls rock!!
She is only 1 day old - just born yesterday. She has a head full of wavy black hair and a face like a baby doll....our newest little rosebud. Her nursery has this color scheme - brown on the bottom, celery green with ivory polka dots, (which her mom and I painted) and so thought this was perfect! Welcome precious baby girl!!
Please forgive me for uploading a card I made earlier today....I cannot miss my favorite challenge and if I stay up all night tonite, I will surely drop dead. I am so tired from watching my baby girl go thru labor, etc.....that when I logged on and saw the color scheme actually totally works with the card I just made earlier today.....hope no challenge police come after me!!!!!! The REAL inspiration for this card came from Olivia's nursery - so it IS an inspiration challenge!!

Well, I found the perfect DP for this challenge, so I will be making several cards so I don't have to figure out where to store the rest of the paper! Here is the first:

The packaging I chose really reminded me of the flowers in the new hostess set, Kind and Caring Thoughts. Thanks for looking at my card.

I'm going to have to play another time...just had a tornado rip through our neighborhood. Luckily our house didnt get any damage but a few of my friends did. WICKED! This is the first one that I have ever gone through and I dont look forward to anymore in the future.
I'll take a peek at all your creations tomorrow sometime. Thanks again Stef!

I probably won't get to play today b/c I'm going to get an injection in my L-Spine. Hopefully, I'll be ok by tomorrow.

Stef, thanks for that website, it's the coolest! I found my way here through flowergal36's fabulous apron card that she just uploaded for this challenge. I think I'll be lost for hours in there too! I have always been fascinated by packaging (probably from having engineered for a big red/white label soup company). That's going to be a favorite site. I look forward to trying the challenge!

Great inspiration. I feel so left out. We have to attend another function today and I want to stay home and make cards!!! I haven't done a challenge for what seems like weeks and I haven't even had a chance to look around the galleries. Whine, whine, whine. Have fun, all. Maybe next week . . .

Wow! I am definitely into packaging too. I have to help someone move today, but will sure check it out and then - if I'm not too tired - maybe I can play. Thank you so much for your awesome challenges.

Here's mine! I chose the same package as Stephanie did...the coco-luxe in the food category. It certainly is an interesting site to browse, that's for sure.
