My Favorite Challenge/Sketch Challenge and Chatter Thread - Week 2
Welcome to week two of the MFT My Favorite Challenge and Chatter Thread!!
Settle in, have fun and enjoy an entire week to complete the challenges, we are confident that you'll have time to chat, stamp AND enter to win MFT PRIZES!
Sound good?
Here are the details at a glance:
*A new My Favorite Challenge and Chatter thread started every Thursday
*Complete the challenge by Wednesday at 10:00 AM
*ONE winner will be awarded $10 in MFT Money each week *not good on bubble bin sets
*This will NOT be a random draw
*The winner will be chosen by Joanne, Christina OR the guest judge of their choice
*The winner for the week will be posted after the challenge is posted the following Thursday
Ready to play?
This week, your My Favorite Challenge is to use three different patterned papers in your creation. The catch… they have to be from three different paper lines. Have a blast playing in your stash to come up with your own unique combination! To show you what I mean.....I've attached an ADORABLE sample from Christina that uses Tea for Two and I attached one of my previews using the new Who's That Grillin' Guy as well as one that I made in February using Who's that Digital Girl.
"Please do NOT "double dip" for the challenges. Here is the general rule of thumb:
If you can win something tangible, then your entry needs to be ONLY for that challenge. Make sense?
So, if you want to participate in the SCS color challenge and then use the MFT sketch? That is totally fine. You can only "win" for the MFT sketch. If you do the One Click Challenge, it can't be combined with the MFT sketch challenge or the My Favorite Challenge since they all have a prize."
Your keyword for this week is: MFTMFC2
Your deadline is Wednesday, June 10,rd at 10:00 AM EST
Winner will be announced on June 11th
If you have any questions, please post them here and someone will help you.
Let the chatting begin!

MFT Sketch Challenge - MFTSC84
Don’t forget, you’ll find the weekly sketch challenge from Cindy and Frances located directly inside the chatter thread.[/b]
This weeks sketch is from Frances and just look at her gorgeous, amazingly masked sample with The Poppies!
Have fun, and don't forget to link your sketch samples with the keyword MFTSC84 so that we can all see them, and tuck it here on the thread too!

So, I fell asleep on the couch after the launch party last night. Woke up, posted all these threads and now I'm crawling up to my bed. Although I think every bird in a 5 mile radius is now chirping. SO, I'm hoping I can get back to sleep! Talk to you all tomorrow!
Can't wait to hear what you all bought last night!

Congrats to both the winners, your work is awesome!! I can't wait to play in the three different DP's challenge. I already have the sketch done, just have to upload it!!
When you say three different lines, they can all be the same company, right, just different packs?
Got my sketch card uploaded!!
Want Some?

Yes! Same vendor okay, so long as they aren't from the same collection!

PSST. DH is working from home today (the nerve!)
So I'll be doing more actual work than chatting today. (YUCK!)
At least my house will be clean!

Ugh, I should have stayed on the couch and watched a movie... or tried reading. Sun was coming up, birds were having a blast singing, and my dh rolled over in his sleep and accidentally bumped me *just* as I was falling asleep. I think it was about 6 by the time I finally fell asleep and woke up to my 4 year old jumping on me at 7. But, I suppose that one hour I did get is probably better than being awake since 4:30!!!

I'm still thrilled, of course, but the cramps I have this morning are bringing me down to earth quite a bit...
I'm waiting for meds to kick in and am trying to figure out what to do today. In the next 3 days, I need to clean the house, do laundry, organize craft stuff, CRAFT, and change the knobs on the cabinet.
And as soon as my hubby is back in town (Saturday night), I'm starting a craft-room re-vamp, so I'm trying to think of ways to make that easy on us...

Hey, I've got a CHA question for everyone who's going and especially for people who have gone in the past... do people bring cards to swap or anything? I don't have many stockpiled because I LOVE to give away everything I make. So it would take a lot of work to come up with a lot by July, but if other people do it, I don't want to be left out!
I was thinking of maybe making some "calling card" type things with all my info on it for people I meet.... I dunno...

This was absolutely one of my favorite cards from the release! I love it!
I'm hoping to get time to play this week. It's a GREAT and different sketch. I'm trying to think of a scene I can make, since it's such a huge panel.
...aaaaaaand as I was typing that last line, I thought of one

Hey Kathy, I went in January. I didn't see any card swapping. I got the recommendation from some other people to take a business card, because some of the vendors require one to give out samples. I probably only handed out less than a dozen, but I had some just in case. Nothing fancy for me - just a little something I printed up on the computer. How exciting that you're going in July. I've been saying I'm not going, but now that it's getting closer, I think I could be persuaded

Not a heck of a lot! Tidying up, watching a friend's little one. I will try and sneak in a couple hours of my contract work as soon as I put my dd down for a nap. Pretty boring day - but I'm not complaining!

Thanks for the feedback, Kathy and Kerry! Those are so NOT my go-to colors. It was an interesting little wrestling match trying to make it come together.
