Looks pretty shape focused. Here is how I would interpret the steps:

1. Use the Oval Template in your Couluzle to make the largest Oval possible, then after cutting it out, fold it in half to create the base. If you want those little indents at the top, and the flat bottom - use your small sizzers to edit the oval slightly.

2. Use background stamps or stickers to create the design elements on the background of the base front. Sponge the edges to soften and detress with chocolate chip or destress ink.

3. Emboss a piece of paper that is one inch shorter in width and height of the front of the base card. After embossing, punch out a heart using a large heart punch, or trace a heart shape on the back of the embossed paper and cut it out.

4. Sponge the edges of the heart with the same ink used to distress the edges of the base card. Attach the embossed heart on the front of the card, and use embellishments like pearls or button to pretty them up.

5. Punch out two small hearts with a heart punch - 1 in red, 1 in yellow (stamp and cut out if you don't have one). Try to make lopsided hearts - with one side shorter. These will be used to make the top and beak of the rooster.

6. Glue the red heart so that only the top 2/3's of the heart is showing onto the back top left corner of the card. The yellow heart should be glued to the top side of the card with only the bottom of the heart showing. (Ok you could have used a triangle - for example you could punch out a 1 inch square, then slice it diagonally to have a good shape for the beak too)

6. Finally cut out a small piece of cardstock in the same color as the top heart for the little piece under the beak and attach on the back of the card behind the beak. I have a punch that makes a little rounded slit (looks like a mini window punch) from SU that would do this perfectly. Sorry I don't know the name of that punch.

7. Add a single googly eye (get them at Micheals) in the corner to complete the rooster.

Voila. That's my interpretation. Check with the artist cause they may have a blog too.

One last thing. The very top of the folded card could be glued shut (just that 1/8 of an inch at the top. This would enable you to sandwish the glued parts of the rooster head between the folded paper at the top.

Again, hope that make sense. It's only my interpretation.

This is copied from her description and items used in making this cutie.

"CB heart die, swirls folder, swiss dot folder, primitive heart punch, smallest nesties rectangle cut diagonal for beak, SU slot punch for wattle, antique button and twine, googly eyes, 1/2 inch circle"

I sent her a pm for a template but haven't rec'd it yet. Its so stinking cute!!
