Bow-Easy??
I came across a tutorial for Bow-Easy that helps you make perfect bows. It looks great and am considering buying one, but I'm wondering if any of you have ever used it??? Does it work well? Thanks for any insight you may have.

I have used one and it's "BOW" easy to use.. har har.. The directions are well-laid out, but if you're a person who needs someone to SHOW you how to do something, and not just read directions off a page, it might be a tad difficult to get it at first, but really, that's my only complaint, and it's not a big one.
that being said. i didn't buy it. I don't do bows too often, if ever..
funny name too.

I have it and LOVE it! The printed directions that come with it are HORRIBLE, lol, but there are some pictorial and video tutorials that make it easy, so no worries there. I LOVE mine! (Or did I say that??)

I bought mine off ebay and love it! I would never put bows on my cards before 'cuz they looked awful. But now I can make perfect bows in no time at all. Can't beat the price! I would definitely recommend it to anyone who has a hard time making pretty bows on their own.

I got one as a freebie some time when I had some cards published. I'd never have bought it, but I do like having it and do use it for special occasions. But then, I'm not a big user of bows on cards - often I prefer knots. I wouldn't say you'd regret getting it even if you only occasionally used bows.

Tutorial link? I got one of these as a gift and put it "some place safe" (aka the Black Hole).
However, if I ever find it, it would be good to know how to use it.
Thanks!

I LOVE the Bow Easy. Got mine from Sharon's Store (well really my mom go it for me). I loved putting bows on my cards but now I want to do it all the time just because of the Bow Easy. Quite a few of my projects in this month's DD gallery used the Bow Easy. I have started putting it in my keywords when I use it. Now I just need to buy more ribbon!

Thanks

Thanks to Gale for posting a link to a video. I watched it 6 times and stopped it at various times to see just exactly where the demonstrator was going with the ribbon. So I never looked further for directions.
I did finally get it as I went through it with the video.
I purchased one at a stamp show in Pennsauken, NJ last year. The vendor showed me quickly, but I never go it from that. I thought the product was manufactured by the vendor I purchased it from. The written directions are terrible with the product. The black lines just blend together.
In this case a visual demonstration you can stop at sections works best to get the idea.
Those purchasing it presently, may want to save the video to have a visual when you receive the product.
Just my opinions, not shared by all.

You do pay shipping for it and you do have to pay with paypal. I ordered mine last night and she told me it would be shipped out today.

I made mine from heavy weight cardboard. Sorry but I am really cheap and don't order from the internet... and besides I wanted one instantly not 2 weeks from now. Also made one for my friend from a light-weight plastic. They work wonderfully!

Oh geez - thought I was being a cheapo by making my own! I used laminated cardstock and just guessed at the sizes. And I'm like you, I want it NOW, if not YESTERDAY. I'm still spastic trying to use it but the above video helped immensely.
Making my own saved me a few bucks so I could spend it on ebay on paper punches.

I found one on clearance at my LSS for $4.50. I have not attempted to play with it yet. I needed it since I cannot tie a straight bow to save my life, that is why I always tie a knot!

I can tie a pretty good bow on my own but if they have to be realllly tiny it's hard and if I want a double loop bow I would probably need the bow-easy.

Thanks for all the links! Maybe I'll actually be able to use mine now!
I bought one and absolutely HATED it because the directions were horrid and the pictures to go with were even worse.
I bought mine a year ago at an lss I worked for.

Love this thing!
I just sat down and played with my new BowEasy ( I got mine from Sharon (notimeto stamp) whose links were posted earlier. Oh my goodness..once you catch on it is so easy it seems like a trick! I watched the JeriKay tutorial also... My little hint is that after I put the first ribbon through I put it down on the table..the right loop doesn't slip off so easily and I can pull the ribbon back up and tie!! I have very poor dexterity sometimes and this really works the best for me. Happy bow making!!

After looking at the tutorials and post I am going to order one of these. I have just learned that I like using ribbon on cards and having a bow on it would be the perfict touch. I can't make a nice bow to save my life, so this would be great for me, and it is one of the less expensive tools I have seen here and wanted to order. Thanks for enabling me once again.

Bow-Easy
I woul not recommend ordering a Bow Easy from Scrap Sake. I ordered a Bow Easy from Scrpe Sake and they have been a nightmare to deal with. After the purchase was made through Paypal Scrap Sake added extra shipping to the order. The original cost before shipping was only $5, but still I would expect more from their customer service department who does not respond to email or phone calls. Have never received the Bow-Easy I payed for! Have spent more in phone calls than what the thing is worth!
