Week 11 - MFT Idol TOP TWO - Challenge & Chatter
Congratulations to our TOP TWO!
They are:
20something (Kathy)
Mrs. Mac (Shannon)
There is NO set theme this week. Choose your own theme and roll with it. This is the FINAL entry in the contest! Show us what you've got! As always you must use only MFT Stamps.
As you know, Kim has made a very exciting announcement!
ONE of the FINAL FOUR will be offered a coveted 6 month term on the MFT design team! The person offered the position may or may not be the actual winner of the Idol competition. The new designer will be joining MFT's SWEET SIXTEEN and will be announced during the MFT new release cocktail party on June 3rd right here in the MFT forum. The release party runs from 8-10 PM Eastern on June 3rd. We hope you'll join us as we reveal our Sweet Sixteen MFT design team!
FINAL TWO: you can upload (On Tuesday, May 26th ONLY by 10:00 PM Eastern) and post a link to your creation on this thread on that day. The week 11 voting will begin at 10 PM Eastern and will run for 24 hours!
The top vote getter will be named MFT Stamping Idol and will walk away with a $250 prize!
The winner will be announced shortly after the voting deadline on May 27th at 10:00 PM Eastern. Join us for the big reveal!
Idol Contestants, when uploading your projects, use keyword MFTIDOLTOPTWO.
Remember, IDOL JUDGES that you too, can play to win! You also have NO theme this week! Choose one for yourself and WOW us! IDOL JUDGES (not final 2) can upload anytime between now and Thursday, May 28th by 10 AM Eastern using the keyword MFTIJ11. In order to be considered for prizes you MUST upload using that keyword AND meet the requirements for the challenge!
Happy Stamping!
*a note on the voting process:
*All votes will be private messaged (PM'd) to the user name MFT Votes starting on May 26th at 10 PM Eastern and ending on May 27th at 10:00 PM Eastern. Any votes received BEFORE OR AFTER that, will NOT count. PLEASE do not vote until that time!
*All votes will be manually tabulated and the winner will be announced shortly after the close of voting. Gather here in the this thread for the big announcement!
*All votes will be stored for a minimum of one week.
Your vote will count IF:
*There is only one vote per SCS User Name. If there is more than 1 vote, only the first vote will count.
*The SCS User Name casting the vote was created BEFORE March 15th, 2009.
There's a lot up for grabs, and we want to make sure that the voting process is fair for everyone. Since the original intent was that the IDOL be selected by our MFT/SCS Family, we are implementing safeguards to make sure the IDOL is selected by fellow stampers!
If you have questions, post them here, and we will answer them as quickly as possible!
Don't know how to send a PM?
*See the little envelope in the upper right hand of your screen next to your orange screen name?
*Click on it!
*over to the left, you will see a list titled "Control Panel", scroll down until you see "send new message"
*click on that
*type in MFT Votes in the recipient user name box
*type in a subject (my vote, vote, etc)
*in the message area of the PM, write your Idol choice.
This week, since we are down to only TWO contestants, you may vote for ONLY ONE person! Your vote will either be for 20something or Mrs. Mac. PLEASE DO NOT VOTE UNTIL May 26th at 10:00 PM EASTERN through May 27th at 10 PM EASTERN. The voting rules can be found above.

Julie, that project was a star. And everytime I look at it I think I need to get that stamp set inked up. AND I love the turquoise, I don't know why I don't use it cause it looks great in what you did. Congrats!

I actually did manage to come up with an idea this morning. It's so hard trying to think of something that hasn't been done yet in this competition.

Good Morning Ladies,
WOW, I go to bed early for once and look at all the fun I miss!!! The final challenge for the MFT Idols is up and Jody has already chosen a judges entry!
I can't wait to see what Kathy and Shannon come up with. I wonder if your projects will be similar or completely different!
I am so excited and thankful that you picked me Jody! What a great way to start the day. Thanks so much!

My kids are officially out of school as of this moment. Their last day of school was today. It seems CRAZY early, but I love summer break and having them home.
They had to go to school from 8 am-9am. LMAO Why bother, huh?
We went long enough for my 11 year old to be a crying basketcase. heehee. She is starting middle school next year and I don't think she was quite ready to leave elementary school. She was SO sweet and even made me tear up... heehee (sappy sap)
On the agenda for today: celebratory lunch at Applebees with the girls, night at the museum 2 and HOPEFULLY stamping will be in the plan later in the day

OOOH, night at the museum looks like fun. I heard some clips of the press conferences from the Smithsonian on the radio yesterday. There are some mighty funny and talented guys at work there.

The kids really want to see it, so I figured I would take them today as part of their "out of school" celebration.

Fun! I'm thinking we might have to go for a date night tonight. My hubby and I have been fighting this morning, and I am so irritated that I know it will just escalate and ruin the whole weekend until he leaves on Sunday for work. So might as well do something to squash it so I can enjoy my weekend
On the other hand, if I stay mad, I have more of an excuse to lock myself in my craft room all weekend... lol

The second one's out already? That seemed fast - or maybe I'm just extraordinarily unobservant!

It's a tough, tough, choice. On the other hand, he's out of town for 2 weeks this time, then home for a week, then out of town for another week (then home for 2 and out of town for 2)...so I have more than enough "me" time coming up

I'm feeling particularly summery today and this bright and cheery project totally caught my eye!
Don't you think its just a smashing color combination?
Outstanding excecution, beautiful coloring - and she even tried a technique she hadn't used before, I think with fantastic results!
Clearly, she put a lot of time into creating this adorable little set!
Congratulations to Joycelyn's with this adorable Berry Basket!
