Default HTDT? 6.17.09 Crystals: how to WOW

Hi Everyone!!

Today I'm going to show you how to use the Kandis Professional Touch Rhinestone Applicator. It's really easy.

First get your supplies ready.

Next heat up the Applicator and pick up a rhinestone.

Now just place the rhinestone where you want it.

Easy Pleasey!!!

I love this applicator so easy to use and have your gems right where you want them. Here is the finished product.

Here are some cards I did using the Rhinestone applicator.
And here are the gems. Swarovski Crystal - Spring Collection

Here I used the crystals instead of brads. I like the look.

Here I used the Crystal on the inside of my flowers.

Here it's lots of fun to use them in the letter "O" in a word, and again in the center of a flower.

Will this tool work with the rhinestones that are on the clear sheets like you can get at HL? They are a little sticky on the back.

Thanks in advance.

Melinda

Yes Melinda I just tried on some I had on hand and they did work. Not sure if that is true with every brand.

Okay- I'm a little confused! Does this adhere the rhinestones to the project? With what? Do you have to have additional "cartridges" or whatever of adhesive to add to it? Does it work with any size of rhinestone? I went to the MFT link and it looks like they are already sold out. . .

The rhinestones need to be glass, not plastic, and they should say "hot melt" or something similar. They have adhesive on the back, and the tool heats up and melts the adhesive through the rhinestone from the front. That's why they can't be plastic.

The tool usually comes with different sized tips for the different sized rhinestones.

Really cute projects, Cindy!

FTR...I do machine embroidery, and I add these to embroidered clothing. They've been washed/dried tons of times and they stay on!

You can get the rhinestones lots of places online; by the gross is cheaper. But if you just want to try out a color first I've bought them at Michael's.

Do they say they are glass? How do you know?

If it says hot fix you're good! They don't always say they're glass, but if you see the hot fix then you know they're safe for the tool.

Machine Embroidery that sounds so cool, then this tool sounds perfect for that.

They are not sold out, check the link again, not sure why they weren't showing up but they are there now.

Professional Touch HotFix Crystal Applicator

Yes, the rhinestones have adhesive on them and they stick right on with the heat of the glue. No cartrides, just need the rhinestone and the tool.
