CSSC64~ Fit to be tied
Good morning friends~
This week Ethel and I have put our heads together (I must say it was quite a site) and come up with an easy challenge! We challenge you to use two different types/colors of ribbon or trim on your project. See how easy is that! Be sure to add CSSC64 to your keywords so you are included in the gallery. Have fun!
Bug's hello
CSSC64 Gallery
Thanks so much for playing this week!
Sincerely,
Lucy and Ethel

Fun challenge girls!! I just so happened to upload this morning and I think it fits your challenge, it may be a stretch, but I think it'll work Ü
I used satin ribbon and twine.

Hello my friends!
It seems that Ethel (me) wasn't paying very close attention to Lucy (Lori) when setting up this challenge. As you will see, Ethel (me) didn't follow the rules ... bring out the challenge police!!! But the way my brain has been functioning these past couple of days, I'm lucky to have gotten a card made at all!
Here is SIGNS OF SPRINGTIME
P.S. Mark is feeling a bit better today!! They have finally figured out a coctail that settles his nausea. He JUST finished with the LAST bag of chemo and has a resting period before the transplant on Thursday morning. Please keep those prayers coming ... we're not finished on this journey quite yet! Thank all!

It's entirely possible that Lucy was the one confused. It sure has been fun planning this together. So glad you had a chance to play this week!

GREAT NEWS DAR, so glad to hear it!
I'm kind of a curious one so I needed to find out more about what you guys have to go through. I went to this website to get more info.
Stem cell transplant
Assuming this is the right info....
It helps me to understand more of the process and treatment you are both enduring. Thanks for keeping such a positive attitude, you are a great example to us all!

Feels good to be back! Had some sickness in our family plus my Dad was taken to the ER over the weekend and diagnosed with congestive heart failure. He is stable now and looks like he is going home today. Will continue to pray for you and Mark Darlene!
I layered my two ribbons on top of each other.
Here is my card: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/1313861
Thanks for Taking a Look and Have A Great Day!

I'm not sure why the gallery link isn't working~ it was working on Tuesday. For some reason it only brings up one card even though many others have the same keywords. I'll keep tinkering with it. Thanks for playing~ your ribbon creations are beautiful!

There's a gallery problem Lori - lots of chat about it in Site Suggestions and General. My gallery currently has 10 projects showing where it should have four pages! Anything in your "member gallery" rather than a specific gallery is currently not showing - my guess is SCS will have it fixed soon and your challenge gallery link will be working again.

I've noticed some quorkyness going on here too!! Guess we'll just have to wait it out!!
Just wanted to give you a quick update: The transplant (very much like a transfusion) is taking place as we speak. They are pumping stem cells back into him at the rate of 300/hr ... I questioned how many he's get back nurse Cathy hasn't come back with that answer yet. He had several premeds prior to the start of the transplant so he's resting at the moment. He had another round of nausea (etc) earlier but seems to have gotten that under control. This next week will be the roughest since as they put it, he'll "bottom out" on day 7 (next Friday) then things will start getting better. I can't thank you all enough for your wonderful support, encouragement and prayers!! Bless You!!

I did it!!
Here's my card Ribbons and Birds Duet.
I loved making it and I do know it's not a great card but I'm so fine with that .
But I have to ask you CS gals about this image. Are those crabapples? I mean, check out the rose. . . they must be, right? Or something small anyway. Then look at the size of the birds. Are they just about the tiniest little things you can imagine in proportion to the rest? It's still a beautiful picture but that caught my eye. Hmph. *That* caught my eye, but all the crazy colors I used just went swoosh right over my head LOL!! Actually, in real life it does look better - cozy. Generally a little more muted, especially the brad and stickers.
Anyway - thanks so much for the challenge!!

Probably, yes, cherries! Not like I haven't even drawn pictures of them myself LOL -- not my favorite fruit so maybe that's why I blocked it out! Silly, really, as we even have a crabapple tree in our backyard and they most certainly don't look like that!
Thanks for the kind thoughts on my card ~ I'm off to finish looking at the others in the gallery and to check out the next clue

Wow - ours is nowhere near blossoming yet although I can make out tiny buds. But then we had snow flurries forecasted for today so I'm not so surprised! It's relatively close to the house and when it's in bloom, it's absolutely stunning and practically fills the view ... then comes the time you're walking outside barefoot and begin to wonder if the beauty was worth the pain

I have not forgotten this challege. Sorry, I have not yet posted my card. Believe me, I have it made. I have been having problems with my computer for over a month now. It was so so so slow. I had to restore it to factory settings. I got the internet working and it is now much faster. I still have to install the rest of my programs so that I can scan and edit my cards before posting. Anyways, it will get posted soon.
Hope everyone is doing fine.
