Try 7collegekidsfund.com They had pretty good prices when I did comparison shopping a few weeks ago. Don't know if they still have it in stock but you can see.
Does anyone know if you can use glue other than the type they sell for it?

I got mine at Frantic Fran....largest selection of colors, kits, papers and related stamps that I've found (Fran is great and sometimes includes Freebies...as a Thank You!)
Depending on what I'm trying to adhere Flower Soft to....I've used Diamond Glaze as the adhesive, as well as the suggested brand. I've also used Aleena's tacky glue.

If you go to www.flower-soft.us.com and click on retailers, there is a list of stores that carry flower-soft. Joanns and Michaels don't and probably no other chain store.
I got the flower soft from the stamping store I go to in KY. They had only 3 colors so after I tried it and I liked it I went to 7 college fund to get a couple more colors. I am using Aleenes Tacky Glue.
If you were only going to get *1* color which one would you get?...gheesh sounds like a rhyme or something..lol
I may try to stretch it into 2 colors but for now just one....
thanks, debi
Hi, There!
I have bunches of colors but if restricted to only 1 or 2, I would get the Shamrock Green or Pale Green...they can be used for instance in highlighting trees, leaves, hills, flowers, grass...so many of the nature scenes.
Enjoy!

I think application-wise, they are similar but the texture is different. Flock forms like a velvet(? - not sure this is an adequate description) covering. FlowerSoft is air-ier....lighter texture and has various little points...looking like little flowers. You can see through it if you create Flowers with it...you can attach it to wires to create stand alone flowers instead of only adhering it to flat surfaces. I've attached it to all sorts of thin surfaces including different types of fishing wire to come up with different effects.
Check the Product focus...
You can also see stuff in my gallery if you are so inclined.
Hope this helps!
Enjoy!:-D

I just saw this flower soft at a convention today. I have 4 or 5 colors in my hands (at 5.50 each) and decided to put them down and step slowly step away from the table. I could feel a new obsession come on. I am going to hold out until the summer on the off chance its in a SU catty.
Also, I think it might tear off on the outside of a envelope.
I purchased Flower Soft at the stamp show in Oaks, PA from Starving Artistamps, Inc. I got about 8 colors in 30ml jars.

I got mine at the same booth at the same show this weekend!!! I picked up just two to try them out before I got more colors. I got sweet pea (a mixed color) and a pale green.
If you read the Flower Soft website it states that it will not come off or crush on your card in the mail.
I don't know that I would put it or any other kind of 3D embellishment on the outside of the card though. Even a wax seal on the flap has come off on a few that I've sent. So I would not want the Flower Soft on the outside.
I decided to get all the colors (or those they had left) while I was at the stamp show to save on the postage at a later time.
THANKS!!! for your kind words on my work! Appreciate that you took the time!
The kit is a great way to go...there's a variety of colors to work with and the PLENTY of Flowersoft in the jars vs. what you use on any single project. It will still last forever! Save the leftovers and you create a new mix! So ENJOY!!!
Oddly enough, I have little patience when working on a project too! cards = 1 sitting! LOLOL But the one bigger project, I had in my head and REALLY wanted to complete! What was I thinking? LOL and as usual, what I saw in my head was not really what I saw when completed! Funny how that happens!
The product really is like working with glitter or fun flock...same principles apply. I don't want anyone to be discouraged before trying... The one word of advice that I do have is to make sure that the glue is COMPLETELY dry on your surface before working with it or the FS will rub off - especially if you've created individual flowers on stems and want to bend them.
Enjoy! and have FUN!!

I get my starter kits from Pez-a-Doodle Designs (http://www.pezadoodle.com)
They are the smaller pots (which shouldn't make a difference because Flower Soft is lasting me a REALLY long time! *LOL) and it gives you a chance to try a bunch of different colours from one kit!
I got mine at Susana's Custom Art and Card Design. She's got tons of colors in stock, and she also sells the bigger 4oz bottles of the Aleene's Tacky Glue (same as the flowersoft glue)
I was just going to say to check around a bit because the price can differ by $1.00 or more per bottle from site to site. I cant remember what site but somewhere I saw it for $4.49 per jar. I am going to have to get some..just have not wanted to part with the CASH!
blessings.
a lot of these websites for flower soft are no longer accessible. Ellen hutton is a valid site. If you can find it the shipping is way over what the cost of the item is. Like Amazon. $7.95 to ship 1 item

The reason these websites are no longer valid it because this thread was posted in 2009.
If you want current sites for flower soft, a google search would be good.
