hi i have a cuttlebug and have inked and versamarked my CB folders for a different look before love it... my questions are Can you ink the SU texture plates to give it a simular result? and is there any real difference in the results any one try it? wondering cause i don't want SU texturz if it only dry embosses and i can't ink because i have quite a few CB Folders already, but love some SU designs. Sure you can! I use a brayer, but I imagine you can just tap your pad across the top.

the ink seems to just come off one the paper if you do it straight after inking.
I love the reverse look of it.

I've done it too....very cool look. I have sprayed stampin mist on it and wiped it clean with a tissue, or run it under a faucet when there was one nearby. Both cleaning techniques worked fine.

The Texturz plates are hard plastic, so they wash up very nicely.

I find that pressing the ink onto the plate gives more color than using the brayer. Also, I like a tone on tone - use the same color ink as cardstock. It really pops! When I tried white cardstock, it was too blotchy.

When you do this, do you use the Texturz plate like a stamp - or do you actually run it and your card stock through the Big Shot? (Can you tell I'm clueless???) Thanks!

I just inked the plate directly by rubbing the stamp pad over it, then ran it through the Big Shot as usual. I used 2 shims to get a deeper embossing. I attached a picture of one of the cards I made this way.
