I bought them when they first came out - I thought they were total junk and certainly did not work as advertised. I never could make them function well at all.

How sharp are they? The closeup picture looks like they might have a hard time pushing through the paper easily. You must have to use them with a mouspad or something under the paper? Would be kind of cool if they worked!

I've got them. My kids have a ball with them but I found even with using a mouse pad underneath, I had to put so much pressure on it that it crinkled the paper.

I bought them, they did not pierce the paper so I returned them for a refund.

Try them with your Scor-Pal. You might pull them back out of the garage sale pile like I did. No, I did not discover this little tip on my own. It was passed to me from someone else.

I've discovered the Scor-pal trick, too. It works really great. Just use the piercing bug like you would the Scor-tool.

I'll have to give it a try with the Scor-Pal. I bought them in the 2-pack and have never used them because they just dont seem to work. I'll pull them back out and give it a try.

Scor-Pal will be carrying this EK tool sometime next month! It will be in the colors of the Scor-Pal and will be called the Scor-Bug. It got lots of oohs and aahs at CHA.

Mine don't pierce the paper well, but they do mark it nicely spaced spots for me to come back with my piercing tool. I use it atop my bazzil piercing mat and that helps, too.

I have the piercing tool by EK, but couldn't get it to work properly. This is what I use:
http://www.widgetsupply.com/page/WS/...-jeweler/BEN66

It works great with a *thin* metal-edged ruler, but hadn't thought to try it in my Scor-Pal. Thanks!

I had them..thought they were total junk! I didn't like the size of the hole they made. I dug my old dressmakers tracing wheel out of my sewing machine and used it instead. It has the fine line and marks that I was looking for.

I thought mine were junk until I read that tip about the Scor-Pal! What a difference using that makes! Perfect pierced lines. The double one fits perfectly in the 2" score line.

I am thrilled to be able to use these little guys! They seemed like such a good idea but I couldn't get good results with them.

*happy dance*

I don't think she meant to be rude, I think that's just a figure of speech sometimes used and is not meant to be taken literally.

That little ditty of speech is just the "latest" way to say, WHOW, NO WAY, KOOL, GEE WHIZ...that last one truly dates me. And as stamp luvr said is not to be taken literally. Ya' gotta have teens around to get it I guess. And I might add it's far better than others I've heard. This is an aside....walked into a coffee/wine shop and found a bottle of wine quite prominently displayed called "B_ _ _ _." How worldly is that??

Erica (who also thanks you for the piercing tool tip...mine have been hanging up for months doing nothing but kinda looking cute.)

I've looked at it many times in the store, but I haven't picked one up yet. I do have a question...When you're using it on the Scor-Pal, does it leave an embossed line too?

Thanks!

I too was terribly disappointed with the bugs after I bought them and have left them in a drawer since! I'm off to try it with my Scor-pal. Thanks for the great tip!

If you know of a video clip out there showing how to do this that would be even better
Thanks again.

wow love the scor pal trick! It worked! BUT only the one that had the single line. The one that has the double lines....for piecing..it didn't work. I only get one line, barely and the second line doesn't pierce at all.

For the bug with the double lines--line up with the double groove at 2" or at 6.5". Both lines with pierce then!

I was just trying last night to use mine for the first time (I bought them about a year ago) and thought they were a waste of money. I'm definitely going to have to try it with my scor-pal. Too bad they'll only be useful for straight lines. I'd like to be able to go around curved pieces as well.

Wondering if this would work i the grooves of a Coluzzle? Then you can do all kinds of shapes...or around the Nesties?
Just a thought..I will have to try it this weeeknd.
Blessings.

I was going to agree that they were "total junk", but now I'll have to go try it with my Scor-Pal when I get home from work. Thanks for the tip!
