What are you favorite Nesties?
Hi, Lots of snow again here in SW Wisconsin (Oh, well, it brightened things up!) I don't own any nesties and I've never used them. I need help on which set to buy. What is your favorite and what can you all do with Nesties? Thanks, I'm quite fascinated with them.

I think I bought the regular and scalloped ovals first. Each full set with the 40% off coupon.

Yea, I certainly want to use the 40 % HL coupon if I can. Does anyone have card samples using Nesties? Thanks so much.

If you go to the gallery and put Nestabilities in the search, you can find all sorts of things made w/them.

Listen to your own experience. I was always using circles and my scallop scissors (which was not fun for me), so when I decided to try my first set it was obvious which shape to buy first. Well, I am now hooked and want to purchase scalloped ovals and squares next! The full sets would be great but I live too far away from a retail craft store to get in on the discounts much.
I am sure that which ever set you decide on will get you hooked, so be prepared!

I feel I use the ovals the most. However the only other full sets I have is the circles. I do have the scalloped rectangles and the scalloped long rectangles.
I really enjoy uisng all of them and like the results.
If you truly like the whole layering and scalloped look going in I can assure you most likely you will enjoy and use whatever you select.
Good luck with your decision, it may also help you to think which of your stamps in particular are you wanting to use Nesties with. Based on this a size/shape may be your obvious choice.
Ritz Camera/Wolf Camera are offering 20 off through the end of February. I have ordered from them twice and have gotten very good service. You can do an online chat with a sales agent.

I just got some mad $ (about $80) which is enough for 4 sets ((roughly))and I'm trying to decide which nesties to get too.
I was thinking one set of ovals with matching set of scalloped ovals
then maybe one set of rectangles with the matching ovals OR should I just cut out the plain rectangles/squares and go with scalloped squares and scalloped rectangles for layering. Any thoughts?

i have the oval scalloped set and love them! i decided to buy those because my cricut already cuts circles, hearts and squares. i love how i can emboss them using cuttlebug die and they really add the extra touch. the next set i want is the label set....they would be perfect for journaling blocks. hth!

I have wondered too. I like the ovals and circles and rectangles. But my
question is do you really need or use the whole big sets of four. Can you get one set that you use the most anyway for layering. I have been wondrering if
you use the large set the most or the small or if there is one inbetween that you seem to use the most. I would really like to hear everyones opinion.

I have the "sets of 4" in all the basic geometric shapes, and I'm really gald I do! at first I figure i would just need one size and scallop, but sometiems your image or senitment/scene just doesn't fit very well in the sizes from one set there's too mich space aroudn it or not enough. With my sets I know I ue evr single die, every size, with the exception of maybe the very smallest one in the group, because I have so many square and circle punches in small sizes, that's faster. If you buy abig set o 4 at acutathome with the 40% off coupon, you save SO much money! So i bought one big set a mnth til I had them all. I;m relly glad I went for ti becuase I know I would have wnated to get the other sets later after I staretd using them and realizing I wanted sizes I didn't have and ended up spending more. Plus when you layer them with all the sizes you have a 1/4 border or a 1/8" border, so it's really nice to have those options! HTH!

I have the circles and rectangles. I could only get two sets, but I really wanted squares too, so I figured out that I could just cut the rectangle into a square by cutting out some of the middle, and the putting the sides back together to form a square...KWIM? You can do a long skinny rectangle too. It works great! If you cut in between the scallops, and layer something on top you can't even tell. This card, and this box were both made with the regular rectangle nesties.

My favorites are the petite ovals, rectangles and double end tags, but I certainly love all the rest too. (But I tend to use those three a lot!)

I have the main four-out of those I probably use the circles the most. But I LOVE label one and just wish they would come out with the "inbetween" sizes for that set, too!

I made one mistake on my order
Well, it looks like no one else has made the mistake I did when I ordered my ovals. I wanted the scallops and the plain ovals so ordered two I thought went together. I ordered the petite oval and the classic oval scallop! I was so excited when they arrived and got out my cuttlebug and went to work only to find that the two sizes don't match up well. They are slightly different shapes. I had to go back and order the petite oval scallop and the classic oval to get the two sets working well together. Oh well, nothing goes to waste! Linda

I was given the classic scalloped circles large, and classic circles large, for Christmas. I LOVE THEM! I recently ordered some ovals, rectangles and squares! I can cut the rectangles and squares with a plain edge, so I just got scalloped for those. I did get ovals and scalloped ovals, though. Can't wait to get them!

I have plain and scalloped circles, squares and rectangles and the long rectangles - love them all! I prefer a lot of scallop showing when I layer so I bought small plain and large scallop sets. But in the last few months I've added some large plain sets to my collection too.
But my personal fave is the Labels One set - there is something so very appealing about that shape!

Thanks to all you ladies and this website I got the nerve (yes, I was afraid to buy them) to purchase Nesties and when I actually used the ovals I loved it so much I purchased the rectangles and the circles. I also bought the regular heart and am looking for the scalloped hearts when HL hopefully gets them in so I can use my 40% discount. If you don't know it already you girls rock!

I have every single set...that is until the new ones start to ship. I have on preorder: labels 3 & 4, Peony, Octagons both sets and one of the sets that has the inverted scallops...cant remember which one.
I love nesties. Hard to pick what to use sometimes.
Blessings.

I have 1,2,3 + 4 and some of the basic ones and I must say I use mostly 1 for their nice size to fit most of my scripture stamps. But I also really like Labels 4 they are more narrow and don't have that much space to stamp on, so I would say go with the ones that you would get more use out of.
HTH
Here is a card I just used the Labels 4 on and I used the second largest die on it

Sabrina...I just checked out your card and it is beautiful...great work.
I have Labels 1 & 2 as well as the rectangles. After looking at your card I think Labels 4 will be at the top of my wish list. I really wish Michaels in Canada carried Spellbinders, so that I could use my 40% off coupon there, but, they don't.

Oh you bad, bad, bad people!
I was holding out...I had been strong up until now. But just now? I ordered labels one from ucutathome and then I turned around and found the link to memory misers and now am considering ordering there, too.
I've succumbed to the urge and y'all are to blame! If DH comes home and finds out, I am pointing him to this post.
LOL.

I have almost all the nesties and my favorite are the petite ovals and petite circles for small greetings on the front of the card (depends on the size of the greeting) and I find myself using the rectangles and regular ovals the most for colored designs. I love them all though. I seldom make a card without using nestabilities.
