I'm not sure if this is what you mean, but check out this tutorial on the scor-pal website.

I also found a couple of other websites that have pyramid card instructions/variations:

pyramid card

3d diamond card

Odd, none of those is what is called a pyramid card over here, which is a sort of paper tole with ever-decreasing squares or rectangles.

I know what you mean.

Here's a site that shows the twisted pyramid as well as the traditional pyramid illusion: http://nataliewallacecards.blogspot....id%20Decoupage

I've attached a Reversed Pyramid Illusion picture. I don't remember where I got it, but probably from Circleofcrafters.com.

The way to do the tradtional version is to make 5 or 6 copies of a picture. You'll use one as the base (bottom), then, remove 1/4" from all sides of one picture. Remove 1/2" from all sides of another picture. Remove 3/4" from all sides of another, and so on. Then using double sided foam tape (if you don't mind it showing from the sides or Zots (or other clear adhesive dots) if you do mind them showing), place along the near the edges on the back of the pictures. Place the 1/4" removed picture on top of the base (uncut) picture. Then place the 1/2" removed on top of that one, and so on.

For the reverse pyramid, you do the same, except from the center of the pictures instead of the edges.

I'd love to know how to do the twisted pyramid illusion.

HTH.

Cool - I've never seen it done in reverse before and it is WAY more effective than the regular way. TFS.

If that's referrring to the layered-up decoupage style one, it was actually a Yorkshire lass who described them as pyramid cards to me , so it's not even a transatlantic mis-understanding.

I've seen a never ending card on a blog - I believe it was Stampmonkey. It's sort of what you want but you will have to adapt it!

Actually, I've only seen them referred to as pyramid cards. I got introduced to them on CircleofCrafters.com and several of their members are from the UK and Australia.

At least pyramage would help to lessen the name confusion.

I have got quite a few CDs showing you how to make them and they all refer to them as "pyramage" cards. That's the reason I posted because of the name mix-up.

Default Pyramage cards...

You can buy cd roms called "3d2d", which has different shapes of pyramage. I'm sure on the cd there is the option to make from 3 to 9 layers of an image. The waste (if cut carefully) then makes the reverse pyramage. Not sure of the manufactures name.

Red face Oops! My Mistake!

The correct term for what I called the Twisted Pyramid is really Reverse Iris Folding

Here are the instructions on how to make it: http://members.pchg.net/wrjones@pchg...iris_foldi.htm

Geezzzzz...nothing like giving the wrong info... Sorry for the confusion.
