i found some double sided tape that has worked really good for me at a discount store here near work, but i went again to see if they have more, and they are all out.
I just bought an atg gun to see how that works better for me.
also have the xyron 150 and the 500 and works good too

I use my ATG 714 for all my cards and love it. I got 3 free rolls from Crop & Stick and just bought another box of 12. I always recommend the 714 1/4" gun because you can make 2 strips side by side to = 1/2" strip.

For all paper-to-paper applications I use my ATG gun. It sticks no matter what! No falling apart by morning! I even use it for ribbon-paper...and it holds tight.
I also use a quickie glue pen, glue dots and xyron depending on the application.

My very favorite right now is the little green bottle of mono multi that SU sells (also available at Mikes). It goes on perfectly, gives you a moment to adjust, dries permanently and if any glue gets where it's not supposed to be, it cleans up perfectly with the adhesive eraser from SU ($2). And.. the tip doesnt constantly clog like the Scotch Quick Dry. I used to be a snail/mono adhesive gal but now I use nothing else!
TRY IT... YOU'll LIKE IT!

Tombow Mono Multi - FABULOUS stuff.
I really want an ATG gun but they're really hard to come by up here.
Also when I'm in a hurry I use SU!'s SNAIL adhesive.

If you are going to be doing a lot I would suggest an ATG. The initial price of the gun is a shock but the adhesive is so cheap in the long run. I had tried about every kind of adhesive out there and finally broke down and bought the ATG and never looked back. I use mine for everything.

I am so in love with the Ducky brand tape in the red container. 4 for $12 and with the 40 or 50 off that makes a great price. I use Creative Memories on the pictures but everything else get the Ducky Tape. I use to use Tombow but it quit sticking after a few months.

I'm a DS Tape user. It can be annoying at times (all the cutting, peeling...) but its the most cost effective and it does the job. I love tape rollers but they are expensive and run out quick.

For teeny things--the green Mono Multi glue.
For bigger pieces--my ATG tape is fabulous. NOTHING moves!

Mono Multi in the green and white bottle or Zipdry. I used to really like Scotch Quick Dry, but lately my cards have not been staying together with it.

I too am an atg gal. My friend bought me mine and I cant thank her enough. It takes a bit of getting used to when you first get it but once you have the hang of it... There is nothing better.
I need to get some of the Tombow glue.

The two I use the most are my ATG gun and Scotch Quick Dry - really LOVE both. I also sometimes use Mono Multi which works great - I just hate how it feels when it gets on my fingers and I find it more *squishy* than the Scotch. I've recently discovered Kokuyo and it's awesome too! Gave up snail/mono quite awhile ago and haven't looked back!

I really love the convenience of Tombo Mono Adhesive but have become very disappointed in the regular (blue applicator) type. It just doesn't stay stuck anymore. I recently found another type of Mono Adhesive called Power Bond. It comes in a pinkish red applicator and is an extra strong bond designed to adhere heavy weight paper, textured cardstock, etc. So far I'm very happy with it - it has the convenience and the sticking power. The drawbacks are it's not refillable and it does cost more. It's $4.99 at my Michaels's, but I bought mine with a 40% off coupon and I think it's worth the price.

ZIP DRY is my favorite. It does NOT warp the cardstock or DSP at all!!! And it STICKS!
My other favorite is the AD-TECH tape runner. Sticky stuff!ANd it is so much cheaper!!
I gave up using Tombo tape runner several months ago and I do NOT regret it one bit. My cards eventually all fell apart.

Mono Multi and Scor-Tape. Snail, Monoadhesive are GONE GONE GONE, haven't touched them in forever. I used to use Scotch Quick Dry Tacky Adhesive but the clogging and new formula (even though they said it didn't change: I found odor and viscosity changed) bothered me.

AdTech is what I bought today!
I was glad to see this thread. I've been trying to decide on a new adhesive, too.
I bought both the AdTech permanent (solid), and the repositionable (dots) today at Walmart. I was looking at them, when a lady came by and picked up the solid one. I asked her how she liked it, and she said that was all she used for scrapbooking.

Just had to add - I got a PM from blankiefinder (sorry don't know her real name!) with a link to an online source for the ATG gun: http://nhsmediastore.com/index.asp?P...PROD&ProdID=11
I had just enough $$ saved up to get the 714 and a case (orders have to be for a case of 12) of adhesive - and the shipping was CHEAP! I'm hoping it will arrive this week!
Just thought I'd share the link if anyone else is interested.

I like that Ducky brand roll adhesive too! I bought some from Joann's because I wanted something that was more portable to take places than my ATG and I have to say it is the best and cheapest alternative to the ATG. I used my coupon for the four pack which ended up being about $2 per roll. I prefer it over any of the other roll adhesives that I have tried including mono and SU.

Not many people ever talk about the Xyron on this site (although I finally saw someone above mention it) - the stickiness is oohhhh so sticky! I love that thing and I dont know what I would do without it. Everyones loves the tombow or whatever its called - ya, mine NEVER sticks. Maybe I have a doozy lol - I use 'wet' adhesive often on the edges so paper doesnt stick out and/or attach to things or get caught.

I used the snail runner and the comparable mono adhesives and my scrapbook pages and cards would fall apart after a few months. My home is not very humid or anything, it was just that my adhesives would never last. I have been using that bottle of liquid gold known as Tombo Mono Multi and I love it! I've had no problems with it at all.

I use Creative Memories Tape Runner for all card stock. It is permanent and the cards don't fall apart like they do with the mono-adhesive. I also use Creative Memories Photo Tape for squash books and mini scrapbooks or anything that requires heavy-duty sticking, or where that red-tape is recommended. I do like the SU glue dots for the little flower punches and things like that.

I use Tombo Mono permanent adhesive for just regular gluing but have discovered that the Kokuyo Tape 'n' Roller plus adhesive is great for multi layers. I haven't had any problems with the Kokuyo coming apart. GinaK mentioned it on one of her blog entries and gave it a try. The only problem is trying to find the refills for it. I ordered a box of refills off the Internet.

NOTHING beats the ATG gun and I have tried them all!! LOL
It is pricey to buy, but in the long run you will save a lot of money buying the refils compared to all the other double sided stuff out there. I have friends who got "sold" by trying mine.

That's what I use. It hold so nice and neat. I even use it for chipboard. Works great without the mess of the regular glue stick and the double sided tape that doesnt seem to hold.

I use the Scotch permanant double sided tape. It's affordable, there is no backing to peel off and it's stronger than any other tape/adhesive I have ever tried, and I have tried many!!! It is the only thing I use!

I use Scotch double stick tape always. If it's a really tiny space, I will use my Creative Memories adhesive.
