**Viva la Verve! February Week 1 {1/30/09}**
I am ETERNALLY sorry for posting this challenge late girls! I know how frustrating it is to wait for a challenge that's normally posted at a certain time! DH and I went out with some friends last night and by the time I got home I didn't have my entire wits about me, lol! I'm a day ahead of ya'll so it's Saturday morning here, whoops! SO SORRY!
But here is the first sketch for February! I know it's not even February YET but it will be on Sunday and there is more February in this week than January so that's why I did that, lolol!
So are you ready for another 4 weeks of Viva la Verve???
**Remember the rules: You must enter EACH weeks sketch challenge with a {TWIST} to be eligible for the grand prize, the next months FULL STAMP RELEASE! At the beginning of the 4th week, I'll pots a seperate thread for Viva la Verve Sketch Champions to post that they've finished all four sketches!**
My Guest Design Diva this week is Stephanie Hargis! Her card for last weeks sketch was just amazing and beautiful, I had to snag her up for this week  See her card for last weeks sketch HERE and her BLOG for more inspiration! Thanks for all your hard work Steph! You can see her card for this challenge linked below  If you want to be my Guest Design Diva and see the sketch ahead of time and make a sample for the next weeks thread, have your card for THIS weeks VLV sketch uploaded by Monday! I'll go through the gallery and pick the card that really catches my eye and send you a pm. If you agree to be the design diva of the week, I'll email you the sketch and {twist} and you'll have a few days to get your sample back to me! Easy Peasy
The {Twist} for this week is EMBOSSING! Another easy one It can be dry embossing (Cuttlebug, etc...) or wet embossing, completely up to you. If you have Verve stamps, we'd love to see you use them! But if not, no worries, you're welcome to play as well...

Here's mine! I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I wasn't sure the ribbon would look okay pulled through the holes but I think it's okay. I used another piece of old olive on the inside and stamped the same cross in the corner to finish it off. Thanks for a great sketch Amber - and a good reason to use the CB swiss dots!

I don't have any Verve stamps yet, but after months of drooling over all the beautiful cards I see made with these stamps, I made myself a nice order last night. Another fun sketch!! I did emboss my choc. chip piece of cardstock, but it does not show up very good in the photo. I used Stampin'Up!'s new texture plate and they do not make as deep of impressions, therefore it is alittle hard to see inthe photo. I promise I did add the twist into my card! Here it is:
