Default Stamp challenges-where to start?

I want to try some of the stamp challenges I've seen people mention in their galleries. Where is a good place to start? I am hoping doing some challenges will <ahem> challenge me to step out of my box a little and give me some layout designs I might not have thought of.

Go to the Challenges Forum where you'll be, well - challenged beyond belief! There are inspiration challenges, color challenges, layout challenges! All kinds of goodies - and have fun!

Yep, that's what I needed to see. Maybe this way, I will break out some of my stuff. I could also use some new ideas like I see in the challenges...
Thanks ( I think )for showing me where to go.

I love the three challenges that I am doing (techniqe, color, and sketch). I decided to make it more challenging for myself and I am starting from #1 and working my way to getting caught up. They do get you outside the box and making things that you never thought you would. Good luck and have fun.

i started doing the limited supply challenge about 2 years ago when i joined because i thought it was for people with limited supplies!! LOL... well... back then i had limited supplies, now.. well.. that's a different story. but it actually worked out. that challenge (on fridays) limits what you can use on a card, so you only need a couple things to do the challenge, so a great place to start. guess i wasn't so dumb after all...

I believe that it was Jeanne S, one of the most awesome stampers on Splitcoast, who said that she learned by doing challenges. Take a look at her gallery for more inspiration.

Doing challenges are are a great way to step out of your box! That's what I used to get alot of scrappin done! Just try to not get overwhelmed with submitting entries for all of them. Have fun!

Sketch Challenge Challenge Thread

That is a link to a thread in the sketch challenge forum. There are several people that started from #1 and have worked their way to being current. I have failed to complete the challenge, but I do still work at it once in a while.

I found it easiest to work on the sketch challenges because I don't always have all the available colors for the color challenges or the necessary items to do the technique challenges.

Good luck in whatever challenges you decide to work on!

Can you take a Card Sketch and use it for a sb layout? Anyone do that? I do need to get out of my box for my scrapbook pages.

I recommend starting with the sketch challenge on Wednesday. The layout really is the hardest part for me, so that will give you a great framework. Roxie is especially helpful and kind to newbies. I needed help uploading my cards and she walked me right through it. So, give that a try. Color challenge is the next one to try. On busy weeks I check in on Wednesday and do the sketch challenge using the Tuesday color challenge. It really improves your stamping and is sooo much fun. Good luck and cheers!
