One of the great things about digi scrapping is that we can use the same photo over and over without having to run back to the store for more copies.

This week's challenge is to pull out elements from a focal photo and then use them to highlight the important elements.

I have a couple samples. The first follows the theme, but the support photos are actually from a different picture, but the theme remains the same. The second is a page I did for my parents and it is about a project they worked on and I wanted to focus on the individual faces of the boys they had helped.

Just remembered to check out the challenge for this past week. I have a TERRIBLE time remembering where to find your challenges. I really wish SCS would put your challenges on the home page. This looks like fun. I'll put my thinking cap on!

Here's a page I did for this challenge, and what fun it was!

Grandma's Sweet Girl

Thanks for looking!

During a lesson at JessicaSprague.com, we changed a photo to B&W and then "erased" the B&W to highlight a part of the picture. I highlighted Elmo and then surrounded that pic with others of Elmo from the same day. Hope this qualifies for the challenge....

Here is ELMO

This was DGS favorite thing for a long time. He even got Zoe to match and they now sit in his bedroom on a rocking chair with their arms around each other! I loved how he kissed Elmo (just like the little kids do on the TV show) as soon as he took him out of the bag on Christmas Day. It was so sweet!

For this page, I pulled the main image from the photo and layered it behind the photo as an overlay. The blue is much more vivid than I would have liked but I couldn't figure out how to soften it since it was the gradient layer.

Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep

I've been wanting to do this layout for a while cause I believe that in later years, DGS will get a chuckle out of the second part of his nighttime prayer..especially the bank robber part!
