Hi everyone! Often on New Year’s Eve, I find myself reflecting on things from the past year. This Limited Supply Challenge will deal with the past, too.
For this challenge, your card should meet the following conditions:
Use a *retired* Stampin’ Up stamp set for the main focal image of your creation. Stamps that will be retired at the end of the Fall-Winter 2008 catalog don’t count… You need to use something that was discontinued prior to August 2008.
Keep your card easily mailable – 3 or less layers, with no really lumpy, bumpy embellishments.
It’s OK to use a current sentiment stamp on the front of your card so long as it isn’t the main focal point. (See my sample card linked below.)
When you upload your card, please use keyword SCSNYE02 so we can find your card in the gallery! Also, if possible, in the details section please include the name of the stamp set(s) you used.
This is my very first time hosting a challenge on SCS so please be gentle. I am beyond excited! Today is my birthday too! Thanks for the awesome gift of letting me be a hostess Taylor!
My Challenge is for you all to use MY personal favorite things, glitter and bling. This is a limited supplies challenge!
~All embellishments on your card MUST be either shimmery, glittery, or sparkly! That means rhinestones, Stickles, glitter, etc...
~Themes, images, layers are all up to you!
~Please use SCSNYE03 in your keyword line when you upload
My father uses this saying a lot Don't forget the 7 Ps! Proper Prior Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performance
SO what do those 7 Ps have to do with stamping? Well nothing really except the saying itself basically tells me to plan ahead. I find that if I start with some sort of a plan or idea when I make a card, it turns out much better than if I just sit down to an empty table and attempt to stamp.
So heres your challenge make a card/project/tag using AT LEAST 4 of these 7 stamping P things.
Piercing
Patterned Paper
Paper Piecing
Polka-Dot
Pink
Punches
Pop-Dots
***Bonus points if you use all 7!***
Cant wait to see what you come up with! Oh and dont forget to have fun!

In honor of the New Year, my challenge for you is tocreate a card using something new. Its time to break out those supplies youve been hoarding, the stamps you had to have but have never seen ink, the awesome little goodies you got from Santa but have been too busy to use. Most importantly, challenge yourself and ENJOY!!!
When you upload your card, please use keyword SCSNYE05 so we can find your card in the gallery!
Good evening friends! I'm so excited to be your challenge hostess this hour! I thought that it'd be fun to do something along the lines of a theme, so my challenge to you is to do an Eastern/Asian inspired card. Have fun with this and I can't wait to see what you come up with. Thank you so much for participating and have a very blessed and happy New Year. Enjoy!
Remember when uploading your cards to use the keyword SCSNYE06 so that it goes into the right gallery. My 2 sample cards are in the gallery.
I have always wanted to go to a fancy party where you had to dress up for New Year's. That always seemed like it would be so much fun! In honor of those of us who are home tonight instead of out on the town I am challenging you to make a card using the colors Black, White, and Silver OR Gold (or both if you really want to). These colors remind me of New Year's and the surrounding parties and festivities. You can use anything you want to add an element of silver or gold on your card- Paper, Ink, Brads, Eyelets, Ribbon, or all of the above! Just make it festive and have fun!
When uploading your creations to the gallery please use keyword SCSNYE07
so we can find your creations! Below is a sample card.
Here is your next challenge. I hope you all have fun with it. I'm completely inspired by the start of a new calendar so have come up with some "rules" for this challenge based on the date for New Year's day 1-1-2009.
1 inch of ribbon
1 punch used
2 brads, eyelets, or buttons
0 glitter
0 embossing
9 cardstock colors to choose from:Real Red, Pacific Point, Pixie Pink, Take with Teal, Chocolate Chip, Cameo Coral, Pink Pirouette, Kiwi Kiss, Sage Shadow
You can use any neutrals in addition to the colors and any ink colors.
Ok, we're ringing in the NEW year here, right, everyone? So this fun LSC will require that you use something NEW and, well, TWO...of pretty much everything!
Here's the scoop:
1.) Use TWO stamps, from TWO different sets. They can be the same company, but two seperate SETS.
2.) Use TWO different colors of CS, no more, no less ;)
3.) Use TWO different styles of DP
4.) Use TWO embellies, and for those two different ones you choose, use them...TWICE! (i.e. two brads, two ribbons, two flowers, etc.)
5.) It's NEW Year's, so use at least TWO NEW items from all the above categories. Something you just got from Santa, maybe?
Can't wait to see what you make and have fun with this! It's a party....and we're ringing in the NEW year! Whoot!

Sing it with me:
Should old acquaintance be forgot,
and never brought to mind ?
Should old acquaintance be forgot,
and old times since ?
CHORUS:
For auld lang syne, my dear,
for auld lang syne,
we'll take a cup of kindness yet,
for auld lang syne.
My challenge to you is to make a card in honor of a friend. It's that simple - no restrictions. Whatever would make them smile is what you should do. Because after all, our friends get us through the years, don't they? Please have fun with this, and don't forget to use the keyword SCSNYE10 when you upload!
