TLC201 Fun Funky Fold
When is Squash Book not a book? When it is a card, of course. For today's technique we will take the basic folding premise of a squash book, but turn it into a fun and different card.
For those of you who have made a Squash Book before, this will be simple and very familiar to you. For those of you who have NOT made a Squash Book before (like me), don't let the directions scare you. I know that many of you have posted before on other techniques saying, " I thought this was going to be so hard, but it really wasn't once I got started" - well, you are going to be saying that after today too!
What you will need for today's technique:[list][*]Designer Paper or cardstock[*]Stamps[*]Ribbon for card closure OR get creative and make a belly band for this card instead[*]Bone Folder[*]A scoring tool (bone folder & ruler - Scor-It - Scor Pal[*]A fearless attitude about learning a new fold
I have provided a step by step visual tutorial, which can be viewed in post #10. I will continue to get this file uploaded as a PDF as well, since I know that everyone cannot access word documents. Thanks for your understanding and patience.

Oh, fun fun fun. I LOVE folds. But it's just lunchtime here, so got to go and sort DH out - but I'll be back soon.
I keep getting loading, redirecting and stopping all the time on your link - I'd say it's not working properly. I have an account with Google and signed in, but it's just stuck in a loop.

Try this ladies. It's taken about 9 attempts to get this to upload. I'll still keep working to find a way to get the PDF uploaded, as I know that not everyone can access word documents.

It just looks that way, there really aren't that many. You may want to practice on typing paper first, just to see how easy it really is.

This is the tutorial for the squash book, which is part of the Fun Funky Fold...for today's TLC there just aren't as many steps.

I can't get that doc to open. Well, I can - but I can see about 3 photos are layered on top of each other and because it's read only I can't move them.
But - I've looked at your picture long enough to realise that I have made a squash book and you are just using one piece of paper instead of 3 - so now I'm up and running - and DH is fed and watered in the mean time.

This is a great fold - thanks so much for this challenge! I'll have to do some more of these. I seem to recall doing a Mother's Day card with a similar fold years ago - before Splitcoast.
This is my first challenge in ages and my first card with the monkey. I've had this little guy pieced together since August and finally found a home for him on this fun fold.
