Master Challenge List - Holiday Challenge Extravaganza 2008
Hi everyone,
I'm so excited to be able to help Taylor kick off this wonderful Holiday Challenge Extravaganza. I hope you all have a great time creating and sharing. Happy holidays.
I'm starting you off with an inspiration challenge. I was doing a little online shopping for my little ten month old and came across the most adorable snowflake bodysuit at Old Navy. I didn't buy it but I did create a card inspired by it

Feel free to use either colorways as your inspiration or both if you feel adventurous. Be sure to include the keyword HCE01 in your upload to the gallery.

Master Challenge List - Holiday Challenge Extravaganza 2008
Good morning, everyone! I’m honored that Taylor asked me if I’d be willing to host a Holiday Challenge. I was more than happy to help her out.
As I was trying to think of what to do for this challenge, I browsed through my SCS gallery, trying to get ideas from the cards I’ve made in the past. I kept being drawn to one of my favorite cards, so I decided to turn it into a Limited Supply Challenge for today.
For this challenge, your card must meet the following criteria:
- It must be a square card. So long it has four sides of equal length, the size doesn’t matter.
- It must have scallops on it.
- It must have a sentiment on the front, and the sentiment must have 3 or more words in it. Let’s see those longer sentiments put to use.
- It must have ribbon as an embellishment.
- It must not have glitter on it. Rhinestones, PearlEx, shimmery embossing powder, etc. are OK if you feel the need for shine, but glitter and Stickles are not.
Stamps, themes, colors, and other embellishments are up to you!
Please use the keyword HCE02 when you upload your card so it will appear in the gallery set up for this challenge. Remember the keyword is without spaces. Use a comma between keywords, with a space after each comma.
I’m looking forward to seeing your creation(s)!
Here is my card: Asian Gifts

Master Challenge List - Holiday Challenge Extravaganza 2008
Happy Monday!!!
Only 3 more sleeps I hope everyone's ready!
If you don't have *quite* all your holiday cards or tags finished, here's a great challenge for you.
I stumbled across "Scrap-Lings" for the first time this past week.
These little cuties measure 1.25 x 4.25 and are made from the cut off strip leftover from turning a 4.25 x 5.5 card into a 4.25 square card.
They are PERFECT for attaching to a gift or tucking in a small space for someone to find.
So my challenge to you for today is to get out your scrap box and make a Scrap-ling!
I only have three requirements: - Your card MUST measure 1.25 x 4.25
- Your card MUST be themed around a December holiday.
- You MUST include stamping somewhere on your card.
Please use the keyword HCE03 when you upload your card into the gallery. Then we can see all of your CUTE little Scrap-lings in one place
Can't wait to see what you make!
Here are two that I made. If you search Scrapling in the gallery, you'll find other samples too.
A Merry Little Christmas

I don't know about you but I am BUSY! Cookies to make, groceries to buy...a few gifts still to buy!
When thinking about a challenge for today, I remembered a birthday I need a card for and I noticed I didn't have a lot of time so I came up with a quick and simple challenge for you!
My challenge is to make a BIRTHDAY CARD with the following requirements:
1. One Piece of Designer Paper (if you don't have any you can make your own using stamps!)
2. Two Colors of Cardstock Only (not counting 1 neutral)
3. Use Three Punches on Your Card
*Use whatever stamps you like but RIBBON can be your ONLY embellishment...just cause it's my favorite
PLEASE USE KEYWORD HCE04 WHEN UPLOADING YOUR CARD
I hope you like my challenge and I hope it is quick and simple for you and maybe gets you a little ahead on your birthday card making!

I can only stamp ugly, so when making a card (ok, not that often) I like to use photos. Being the holidays, let's incorporate that too and do a holiday photo card.
1. any photo subject that represents Christmas or the holidays for you
2. taken preferably Christmas eve or Christmas day
3. I found this beautiful card by Kitty, use that as a design inspiration
Use keyword HCE05 when uploading your card
Snow is uncommon in the Pacific Northwest, even 2-3 inches is a big deal. I still love it like a little kid. And a white Christmas? Almost never. At our house we've gotten 1-2 FEET over the last week, and even today it's been steady all morning.
So here's my sample. And no I didn't do it, boo on me. Jenn helped me out :^)

You know how the holidays are - rush, rush, rush, and inevitably you forget something for someone. My challenge to you today is very simple -- make a ONE LAYER card, that you could do in a hurry, to go with a gift you forgot, or even just a person you forgot to get something for But seriously - it can only be one layer -- no cheating!
I don't have a brand new sample to share (see, it's crazy at my house too) but I do have a recent one layer, made in a hurry
Have a wonderful holiday, everyone - enjoy your family, enjoy yourself, and stay safe!
Please use the keyword HCE06 when uploading.

December 26th is, er was, my grandparents anniversary. I was very close to my grandparents, and I do mean very close. This would have been their 71st anniversary. One of the last anniversary's I remember celebrating with them (yes, they have passed) was we had a round cake with yellow roses on top.
Here's my challenge to you, make something inspired from an old memory. Mine was actually inspired by a childhood one. If you can't think of one I'm including a picture of a cake very similar to the one that we had for my grandparents' anniversary and maybe that will inspire you
Here's my sample ... Dedicated to a Memory

Master Challenge List - Holiday Challenge Extravaganza 2008
I hope that everyone is enjoying the holidays and the Holiday Challenge Extravaganza 2008!
I live in the Pacific Northwest of the United States and we are getting pounded by snow. It is so unusual for our area that many, like me, are housebound and waiting for it all to melt away.
I found this amazing photo on Flickr taken by Christine Lebrasseur, I wish...
I just love how those bright butterflies are amongst the white glittery scene. It is like spring is trying to come through!
Your challenge is to use this same photo as an inspiration. You can use the colors, layout, anything about it to inspire a creation. Thank you so much for playing!!
Please use the keyword HCE08 when uploading.

I hope everyone is recovering from the holidays. Are you ready for the new year?
Today's challenge is to use a tag on your card. I know so many of us make tags all the time. Now take a tag you have, or make a new one and incorporate it onto a card.
Here's mine: PRINCE CHARMING
Please use keywordHCE09 when uploading.
I hope that you like my challenge and play along.

Good morning! I'm your happy hostess for today. My challenge for you is to alter your embellishment for a one of a kind designer touch. A few examples would be to stamp on your primas, color that bling, or emboss a brad. I hope you find time to play along!
Please use keyword HCE10 when uploading.

My challenge for you today is Paper Tole- Now I have seen this done a few ways- so do which ever you prefer. SCS has a tutorial on the resource page found here. I went with a simpler style.
You can do it with either a flower, or any image that lends itself to paper piecing. I have two samples- one with a flower, and the other a bird.
Paper Tole is the art of constructing a 3-dimensional image from a 2-dimensional print
Paper Tole Thanks

Master Challenge List - Holiday Challenge Extravaganza 2008
Happy 2009!
With the ringing in of the new year comes many wishes and resolutions. One of my hopes for the year, and something I've been working on in the recent months, actually, is that I will cut down on the clutter in my craft room. Do I really *need* another stack of patterned paper (well yes, I know I do, but eventually, I'm going to run out of room!), that container of Primas, those rub-ons? Sure, it's nice to have all the new stuff, but are we using what we buy? During this ongoing reorganization, I've unearthed TONS of products and embellishments I have not seen since I put them away shortly after I bought them. I've been trying to use that *stuff* when I stamp lately, and that's my challenge to you.
This first day of the new year, use something you've been hoarding or hiding or just dig through your stuff to find something older than the last month. Show it some love, put it on a card, on a scrapbook page, whatever. Just have fun!
I have no sample to show. . . yet. As soon as my company wakes up and we have breakfast, I think my mom, sister, and sister-in-law will go messy up my newly-clean stamp room!
When you upload to the gallery, make sure to use keyword HCE13.

Master Challenge List - Holiday Challenge Extravaganza 2008
Looking back on 2008, it was a VERY exciting year for me in stamping. I found a TON of new companies that I LOVE, was thrilled to be invited to do some Design Team work, and most importantly, have formed lasting friendships that I cherish more than anything!
I can't pick a favorite company, card, or friend that I've come in contact with in 2008 because there are JUST too many to list.
However, there are definitely a few sets that are closer to my heart than others, and most of them ARE sets from the wonderful companies that i have the pleasure of working for.
There is ONE special set though, that came from Pink Poison (now The Greeting Farm) this past year that was special to me in its own right...yep..you guessed it. WONDERLAND.
Alice in Wonderland is my ALL time favorite Disney movie, and I myself can relate a lot to her. I do my thing, you know? I dont' always follow directions. I'm curious. I'm fragile, and I LOVE to have fun and use my imagination.
SOOOOOO, now it's YOUR turn! Show me your favorite stamp or stamp set of 2008 by creating something, ANYTHING, with it. Make sure you upload using keyword HCE14
That being said, I will be back soon with a card from the Wonderland set, and can't wait to see what YOUR favorite stamp or stamp set of 2008 was!
Hugs!
