I'm sorry this post is so late today - I've been struggling with how to write it. Many of you know that one of our own wonderful ladies is experiencing a serious difficulty in her life, and that of her daughter. If you haven't read about Laurie (Lauraly) and her daughter, please read
this thread.
So, with that in mind, this month's cause is
"Send Love Today". From thier homepage:
Send Love Today is a nonprofit organization that provides emotional support to brain tumor patients and their families in the form of cards and small gifts. Although we realize that cards alone cannot help fight brain tumors, it is known that a positive mental attitude can help the patient's physical condition. And if we can simply bring a small smile to someone's face during a difficult time, then we have fulfilled our purpose.
At this point in time, I am still waiting on a bit more information from the wonderful people behind this cause - so I will update this post tomorrow with more details (like if you should write notes in the cards, or if they'd prefer them blank, if you need to send envies, etc). Sorry for running a bit behind!
I know everyone will join me in sending love, uplifting thoughts, prayers, warm fuzzies, and whatever else is needed to the people going through this traumatic journey.
