NOV08VSNMINI1~October 25, 2008~5pm EDT~"Frame Your Star" Chat Thread
Title: "Frame Your Star"
Hostess: Michelle (shaddybaby)
Keyword: NOV08VSNMINI1
Day/Date: October 25, 2008
Time: 5 PM (EDT)
When you go to a play there are always beautiful photos of the cast members posted for everyone to see. So, what do you do with the photos once the play is over? You frame them, of course.
My challenge is to create a frame for the picture of the star in your life. You can use chipboard, cardboard box (like a cereal box), or a store bought frame to create your own personalized frame.
UPLOADING INSTRUCTIONS:
1. ALL VSN CREATIONS MUST BE UPLOADED BY 10:00 PM EST ON SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 9th
2. You have 45 minutes to complete the challenge.
3. Please remember to put in the correct keyword when uploading your image. Copying and pasting the challenge keyword is recommended to avoid typos.
It is also highly recommended that you post a link to your creation in the chat thread just in case the gallery is being testy.
Woohoo! Fun challenge, Michelle!! I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with for this one. I love frames, so this is a perfect challenge for the theme! Off to see what I can come up with!!
Here is mine, I made mine without a cut-out opening, kind of modeled on a frame we saw while on vacation this summer. My girls really admired it and asked me to make them each one, this is going to be part of their Christmas gift.
The strip of light paper I put words representing our favorite vacation spot, generated on the computer and printed on confetti white paper. The stone we picked up at the beach and I took the aquapainter and a WWC and painted on the name of the town where we stay.
Have fun with this challenge everyone, I sure did!
I made my own frame, so if you don't have a pre-made frame on hand, don't despair, you can still play along!
And stampingkwilter, the VSN hostesses (including me) got a chance to play the challenges early, so we would have lots of samples to inspire everyone, and so we could hang out here and chat and answer questions and help out!
We're hostesses Suzanne so we have an unfair advantage, we get to see the challenges a few weeks ahead of everyone else . . . it helps provide some extra examples for you to see!

Here's mine, Michelle! Seriously, this was so much fun. I've really been on an alterable binge these days. I'm really loving how much fun this stuff can be. And of course, to have come out with a project that will forever remind me of my trip to Rome with my youngest DD, well that's just a bonus. Thanks again for a great challenge, Michelle!
not only was htis a fun challenge but it was useful too! I needed something to match my living room, I had a bare little shelf (gasp!) and these frames are so easy and fun! Thanks Michelle! Great way to kick off the night!
I'm so glad everyone is enjoying my challenge. This is my first time to host a VSN challenge but it really is a lot of fun. Keep them coming! I can't wait to see what else you guys come up with!

Hey Michelle! I am at my dad's right now, and Sarah and I are checking out your challenge! I can't complete it right now since I'm not at home, but I will definitely be participating! Sarah has come up with several ideas too, so she may be making something as well!

(hangs head.....I've got nothing....I totally blew this one....the whole picture idea just through me off and I squandered my time....)
You can have a second chance! I don't think you need a picture at this time and you have till Nov 9 to upload...just be honest and keep your next attempt to 45 minutes as well!
