Default VSN Preparation Hints and Tips

Here are some things I found in a thread started by Jeanne S, to help you get ready for VSN.

Buy plenty of chocolate
Have plenty of caffeine ready (coffee, tea, diet coke...)
Have dinner in the crockpot or order takeout
Line up a babysitter or have DH take care of the kids for the weekend
Cut some cardstock for bases
Pick out 5 or 6 stamp sets and a few backgrounds to use
Put shopping list items in one place, within easy reach
Set up an extra table, if you have the room
Make sure your stamp space is clean
Empty trash
Make sure you have extra camera batteries and the ones in your camera are charged
Make sure your Stamp n Scrub is clean and dry
Print off VSN Schedule
Clean your stamp space, as you go
Put favorite tools at arm's reach
Check adhesive supply
Print out sketches and/or Color Combos for inspiration
Use a kitchen timer
Lay out Designer (Printed) Paper to use

A special thank you to Jeanne S, crazycatstamper, laurakj, avonlea, sleepyinseattle, eliotstamps, and mlj-mlj, stagccva, lacyquilter, kandicejo for their input and ideas.

Buy plenty of chocolate - On my list! - of course, I don't like to eat when stamping, and chocolate makes things especially messy!
Have plenty of caffeine ready (coffee, tea, diet coke...) - Tea is in full supply
Have dinner in the crockpot or order takeout - oldest dd is on the ball with kitchen duties for the night
Line up a babysitter or have DH take care of the kids for the weekend - n/a
Cut some cardstock for bases - On the TO DO list
Pick out 5 or 6 stamp sets and a few backgrounds to use - Hmm, do I HAVE too?!! That is NOT an easy decision!
Put shopping list items in one place, within easy reach - Getting there!
Set up an extra table, if you have the room - No room - but my stamping station is sufficient!
Make sure your stamp space is clean - ALWAYS!! not!
Empty trash - Yeah, that desperately needs to be done!! Overflowing as I type!
Make sure you have extra camera batteries and the ones in your camera are charged - I usually scan my creations, but camera is ready on the fly!
Make sure your Stamp n Scrub is clean and dry - CLEAN?? Dry? I just need a NEW one!
Print off VSN Schedule - Okay, where is this to be found? This is VERY helpful!
Clean your stamp space, as you go - Ok, will consider doing this when the time comes!
Put favorite tools at arm's reach - DONE!
Check adhesive supply - Yeah, need to get more of that!
Print out sketches and/or Color Combos for inspiration - DONE and in my notebook!
Use a kitchen timer - Sitting ready on my shelf!!
Lay out Designer (Printed) Paper to use - What is THAT?? I should really get more - I KNOW I don't have enough!!

I have to prepare for a scrapbooking class tomorrow, but I'll be stalking the challenges and doing my best -- the scrapbook pages are pretty well set, have to double check student supplies....
