Arrow Qbee's Mayflower Template

Qbee's Mayflower Template

Several of my customers have asked about the Mayflower on page 31 of the Stampin' Up catalog. After staring at the catalog photo for a while and taking a look at actual Mayflower photos, this is the template I came up with. My version of the Mayflower is more like the actual Mayflower (flat at the back and tapering to the bow) than the Stampin' Up version. Also, instead of using a stick for the mayflower mast, I came up with a mast that can be made out of cardstock and attaches easily with three mini glue dots.

Dimensions
  • The ship is approx. 6-1/4" from Bow to Stern.
  • The height is approx. 2-1/2" from base to the highest point of the deck.
  • The mast is 7" tall from the base.
Template Pieces
  • The three ship template pieces fit on an 8-1/2" x 11" page. (Bottom/Back Piece and Two Side pieces)
  • The mast is on a separate template (4 masts per 8-1/2" x 11" sheet)
Here is a picture of the Mayflower I made:

Here is a picture of an unembellished Mayflower built from my template:

This ship would also make a cute pirate ship. You can fill it with nuts, candy, etc.

Thanks for looking!
PS: I added an attachment of the ship looking down from the top, so that you can see how the mast is attached. For a view of how the ship looks from the side, see my gallery link above.

Thanks for the template. My son has a friend over today and they just spent the last two hours make theirs. And had a blast doing it. I would post a picture, but don't know how to do it.

Thanks again!!!
