I wonder if it was a mistake when she was uploading hers? If she saved the image of yours to use for inspiration later, and it was in the same place as her other three and she uploaded them all at once, it could have been a mistake. I would send her a pm.
ETA: The description says "suitcase and compass" and that is what is on her other card.

yes...
i can not believe it!!!
how shameless.
i do have the watermark on my pictures but since she used the picture right from the Magnolia newsletter it is not visible anymore.
gosh.. how big do you have to add your name to a picture??!!! you almost have to write it all across your picture but than you can not see the artwork anymore.
I always try that you can see the coloring on my cards when clicking on it so you can see it big... but this really makes me thinking

Yeah, I think it might be possible she uploaded Claudia's photo accidentally. It's the first card in her gallery, so maybe it is an honest (but upsetting!) mistake from an inexperienced SCS gallery user. I sure *hope* that's the explanation.
Good luck, Claudia!! I'm such a fan of your work. I hope there's a happy ending to this yucky situation...
Oh my goodness claudia, I can't beleive someone would do that. I just checked back to my Magnolia newletter (I absolutely know it's your card but just wanted to see the actual newsletter myself) and I can't believe it!! I rally don't know what else to say hon, this is crazy. I really could go on a rant, but better not. Just know Claudia that I think you're absolutely fantastic and I really hope this woman owns up to what she has done and gives credit where credit is due!!
Hugs to you my friend!

OMG that is your card. I remembered seeing it on your blog and just went back and checked your blog. Oh I am so sorry dear this has happened to you. I hope this was just a mistake on her part.
It's good that you have notified the gallery mods. I just checked the SCS Terms of Service, since I expected copyright violation and intellectual property to be addressed there. They're not even mentioned. Maybe this is a topic that needs to be added to the TOS.
Your card no longer shows up? I am hoping it was an error and has been taken care of. Your art work is so wonderful, I can not even begin to think that someone here on SCS would have the nerve to do this.

i did too :-)
i kept the newsletter cause i was so happy to see that Magnolia used MY card :-)
they sent it out on the 11. of August to all the subscribers.
just interesting that Linda uploaded other cards and did not noticed her "mistake". Her gallerie is not that big :-)

Yep! lol....
Just a suggestion, but you may want to make your watermark a bit bigger.

In the future, it might be better to do this through PMs and not drag someone through the mud. This could have been an totally innocent mistake and now this poor person has been reviled in this thread. I would hate for someone to do this too me without first checking that I hadn't accidently uploaded a picture that was not my own. I copy stuff all the time onto my hard drive to CASE later. Perhaps she just mislabled it and when she went to upload her tweak of your card she grabbed the wrong one. Nothing like giving people the benefit of the doubt.....

dear Katy,
iam sorry you feel that way but i was not draggin Linda through the mud. I was pointing out that my artwork was being shown and described as someone elses.
I think that most people on this board would agree with me.

Aww honey! hugs to you - I can only imagine how you felt when you saw that!..
You really have to wonder sometimes, but honestly, I would think that nobody would do that on purpose, especially if you figure that all other cards that they're going to upload are not going to be done in the same style and/or be the same quality of work (I mean, let's be honest here, if you have to upload somebody else's card on purpose, it's probably because you don't feel your own work is good enough) so what's your excuse going to be? You happened to have had a really good stamping day?? :mrgreen:LOL.. (of course, you never really know how some people think!!)
Anyhoo, your work is incredible, so you should feel good that someone loved it enought to wanna be you for a day! Keep your chin up and keep sharing your talent!!
Dear Claudia, I have sent you an email this morning as soon as I got yours explaining that I had marked your card as a favourite and had uploaded it in error. As soon as I saw what had happened I contacted SCS and asked them to help rectify the situation, not knowing I could edit card and delete. At no time did was my intention to copy your card and claim credit, I am an admirer of your work and am extremely sorry. SCS advised me it has been deleted and explaned how to delete a card should this ever happen again (which it won't) As I have said in my other email I DO APOLOGISE for the mistake and the anguish it has caused you...should you have any doubt of my sincerity SCS could verify the fact thai I emailed them immediately. SORRY Claudia...I am a fan not a thief. Thanks for understanding, Linda

You are certainly enitled to feel however you want, I was only pointing out that contacting this person through PMs would have allowed her to clarify her mistake and remove or properly credit the photo without the public humiliation. Switch places with her for a minute: if you had accidentally uploaded onto the gallery an idea you were going to use, would you want the person you copied to send you a PM quietly or post here in the open forums how you "stole" her idea? That was my point. You can feel outraged all you want, but I don't feel that THIS is the place to voice that. Now if you'd had PMed her and she told you to take a hike then I'd be the first one to back you up.

Claudia I know exactly how you would be feeling when you saw YOUR card on SCS posted by someone else as the exact same thing happened to me a year or two ago which is when I started using a watermark (I agree with Jeanne maybe you need to make yours bigger). I had uploaded my card at the time to another forum that suited my card better then here so when I saw it on here I was kind of in shock.
I also started a thread similar to what you just did too because I didn't know what else to do ... so don't feel bad that you did too. Fortunately my problem was also easy fixed.
I am Linda's husband and this saddens me deeply as well as our three young children who have overheard my wife's devastation at this accusation this morning. If only you knew Linda like we do! She is the warmest, kindest, giving person who has only the uttmost admiration of all you ladies who are in this phenominal craft which before January of this year we had no idea exsisted. My wife has found such solace and comfort and friendship since being invited into this wonderful expression of self, creativity and art. Prior to this last Christmas she had suffered such loss as 4 family memebers had passed away all at once and was devestated. She has endured so much loss and grief but found joy in meeting so many friends who share something common and in her words BEAUTIFUL! Friendships are important to my wife and if you know her one of her interests is people. She has been an examplary Christian for over 33 years and with such integrity. To steal and be so blatant is not in her nature. Linda is new to this enviroment and is new to this new era of computers and language. Yes, computer illiterate but has done it all on her own , even taking her photos and unfortunately has made a grave error, which now is published everywhere but not only this, now gossiped about, for all to see. She is in the throws of having an undetected mass in her brain diagnosed by MRI and is already in turmoil. Her support from friends here in Canberra, Australia is a comfort to her as her remaining family are in New Zealand and cannot travel often to see them. May I continue to say on her behalf Claudia, Linda has only admired your work and talks of you Ladies to me with such fondness for you all and with one blow! to accuse and assume the worst of someone which you don't know, without even discreetly inquiring, but rather publicly humiliating does not show integrity or character. Please understand we both forgive you for your reaction rather than action and again appologise for your feelings in this matter. May this be a lesson to all to handle such matters with dignity and grace so as to not devistate a living beautiful soul, such as my darling wife, Lovely Linda.

Glad to see that the person who accidentally did this has corrected the situation. I imagine you must have been shocked so thankfully it has been corrected.

How sweet you are! What a lucky woman! I am so sorry that this has happened. I really, really wish she would reconsider and not leave SCS. This really is (for the most part) a warm, friendly, uplifting place to be. I have many many friends that I've made and grown to care about through this site. I for one will be praying for your wife that her tumor is miraculously healed and she will have many years of happy stamping ahead of her!
Please convey to her our sincere hope that she decides to keep on chatting and posting with her sisters here on SCS!

I've been a member of SCS for a very long time, and I can understand Claudia being upset about someone using her work. I have never posted a card here, because I have seen threads similar to this about someone using a similar card, or in this case, exactly. I'm sorry, too, for the unfortunate poster who made a mistake. I send both of you my regards, and hope that there will be no more hard feelings. Eileen

Please tell Linda that she is welcome on SCS. It was a simple mistake and there is not a person here that would hold it against her.

Linda, So sorry you had to go thru this and I am sure Claudia is feeling bad about it as well. Sometimes people react before they think and Maybe she could edit this post and erase all the beginning so that this message will whither away.

Aw, Linda. Mistakes happend. Knowing everyone here at SCS, I'm sure they all agree that things happen by accident sometimes and it was so big of you to come here and make your post.
I'm sure that it was upsetting for Claudia to see and not know the whole story but now that she and everyone else does, no harm done. I'm glad it's been rectified. You are an important part of the community here and by contacting the moderators and having it removed, it shows your integrity and good intentions. Please don't stop sharing. We love to see your work.
Claudia, you are a ROCKSTAR stamper! That card is truly beautiful! No wonder Linda wanted to save it as a favorite. It's now one of mine too. Your gallery is just fantabulous! Thanks to Linda's mistake, I found a new favorite gallery to peek in on!

It was an honest mistake, please don't feel unwelcome here or give any more thought to the situation!
Image theft certainly does happen, but this is a reminder that honest mistakes also happen and we should wait for a response before flaming someone on the forums.
Stick around, Linda! Your work is lovely and we're sorry about this mix-up!
Linda, You have a wonderful husband and are very fortunate. Unfortunately, if I had been in Claudia's shoes, my reaction probably would have been the same, as would most of ours. It is very easy to jump to conclusions, and we are all guilty of it. Please forgive us for assuming you were guilty without hearing your side. This really is a wonderful site and like a family sometimes, and that includes jumping to the defense of someone. But, being human, we have a habit sometimes of speaking without thinking, and sometimes we fail to get all of the facts before we speak. Please don't feel like you are not welcome, we all make mistakes, and unfortunately the hardest lessons learned are painful. Again, I hope that you can forgive us for thinking the worst before we knew the facts and that you will give us a chance to redeem ourselves! And hugs to you too, you both deserve them!
As Krystie said, this incident is a good reminder to all to not jump to conclusions without having all the facts of a situation, and that off-board (private) communications would probably have resolved this quickly, and without hurt.
I imagine Claudia herself feels awful over this.
{{{{{{{{{Linda}}}}}}}}}} <--that is a cyber-hug.
I truly hope you will continue to hang out and play with us.
